Did you know that your piercing journey doesn’t end once the initial jewellery goes in? 🤍

Jewellery downsizing around 6 weeks is an important part of aftercare for many piercings.
When a piercing is first done, I use longer jewellery to allow room for the natural swelling during those first few weeks. Once that swelling has settled, jewellery that is now too long can move around excessively and put unnecessary pressure on the piercing.

Leaving it too long can contribute to:
• Migration or changes to the piercing angle
• Irritation bumps & sores
• Excessive movement and swelling
• Irritation and discomfort
• An unnecessarily prolonged healing process

At her 6-week check, I downsized both her 2nd lobes and conch, which I originally pierced for her 6 weeks ago — and we also freshly pierced her daith 🤍

🧼 HYGIENE IS SO IMPORTANT
Every jewellery change is carried out in a clean, controlled and sterile environment, using sterile equipment. I also thoroughly clean the piercing before changing the jewellery.

And you don't have to purchase your jewellery from me.
If you already have a piece you'd love to wear, you're welcome to:

A little apology for being quieter than usual on here lately... life has been a bit of a whirlwind! 🤍

Last week I celebrated my 40th birthday 🎉, had a lovely busy day in the salon on Saturday, then spent the rest of the weekend celebrating with family and friends.

This week is another big one. It's my final week at the nursery after so many years, which is a real mixture of emotions, but I'm so excited for this next chapter with YouBeauti. It's also been the end of my eldest son's school journey as he completed his GCSE's, and it's my middle son's last week at primary school before he starts secondary in September... where has that time gone? 🥹

Just a little reminder that after this week, I have the following two Saturdays off from the salon – one because I'm being whisked away for my birthday, and the other for a friend's wedding. 💕 Also that from 17th August, I will be in the salon every Monday too 😊

Appointments for the rest of July are very limited, and the start of August is filling up quickly too, so if you've been meaning to book in, now's the perfect time to get your appointment secured!
