Which would you choose for your wedding day — soft and understated, or turn up the glamour? ✨
For Xuan’s bridal trial, we tried two different versions of her bridal look.
We started softer, then built the look — adding more shimmer, more definition and a smokier eye. The second look was the one ✨
For the wedding day, we recreated Xuan’s chosen, more glamorous eye and balanced it with fresh, glowing, dewy skin, soft blush and a glossy n**e lip.
Because sometimes you need to see both versions on your own face to know which one feels most like you 🤍

It was such an honour to be asked to do Marina Moore. Bridal Hair Essex ‘s bridal makeup for her wedding. 🤍
Years ago, when I was just starting out, Marina asked me to be the makeup artist for a styled shoot she’d organised. She was the first real friend I made in this industry, and we’ve shared so many styled shoots, content days and weddings together ever since.
For her wedding day, we wanted a look that felt fresh, softly bronzed and beautifully peachy. We kept the eyes clean and lifted, using strategically placed cluster lashes with the greatest length towards the outer corners to create a soft feline shape. A glowing complexion, peach-toned blush and a peachy n**e lip completed the look—timeless, elegant and completely Marina.

The makeup separated… and I’m so glad it did….
At Keely’s first trial, the makeup just wasn’t sitting how we wanted it to.
Could we have ignored it and hoped for the best on the wedding day?
Absolutely not.
Instead, Keely gave me something that every makeup artist values: honest feedback.
She told me exactly what she liked, what she didn’t, how her skin wore the makeup throughout the day and the finish she really wanted.
That allowed me to make adjustments.
For her second trial, we tested two different techniques—one on each side of her face—to see which performed best. By the end of the day, we’d found exactly what worked for her skin.
Fast forward to her wedding day…
🌡️ One of the hottest days of the year (around 35°C).
☀️ Oily skin.
📸 Hours outside.
We chose an incredibly lightweight application of Estée Lauder UK Double Wear, layered strategically with powder and ONE/SIZE Powder Melt and On ‘Till Dawn setting sprays.
The next day she sent me this…

It held amazing i felt like an absolute princess 👸 # # #’
