And honestly? I did. Kinda.
But then she told me “the weirder the better” and that was probably a mistake😂
She had NO idea what her friend had planned for her…
and absolutely no idea what I was about to do with it😅

DID YOU KNOW PREGNANCY CAN ACTUALLY CHANGE THE COLOUR OF YOUR HAIR?!
And this client is the PERFECT example because you can literally see it happening!
She had her beautiful baby 6 months ago, and before pregnancy her natural hair was a much lighter, mousey brown.
During pregnancy, her hair became noticeably darker, and because hair grows roughly 1cm a month, we can now see around 6 months of regrowth showing exactly where her hair had started returning to its original colour after pregnancy.
So that darker section in the middle isn’t colour…
IT’S HER PREGNANCY HAIR!
Once those pregnancy hormones settled back down, her natural lighter colour started growing through again, leaving us with this really cool little before, during and after pregnancy timeline right there on her head.
Pregnancy can cause all sorts of changes to your hair because of hormonal fluctuations, including changes in growth, shedding, texture, density and even how your natural pigment appears.
It doesn’t happen to everyone, and it isn’t necessarily permanent, but sometimes your hair really does come out of pregnancy looking like it belongs to a completely different person😂
And of course, we couldn’t leave her with a six-month hormonal history lesson…
We finished with some CLASSIC chunky highlights🤌🏼
And I think it’s officially time we say it:

Harley Quinn hair ❤️🖤

This was an absolute transformation! From a full head of chunky pink highlights to a stunning Harley Quinn split, I picked out every bit of black and gently lifted so I was able to even it out with a beautiful rich red, I think it worked quite well 😍

This was a colour correction from previous box dye and bleach, what an amazing transformation!

Gothic Barbie just got a vivid makeover 🖤💗
A seriously glossy pink balayage finished with inky black fox tips for that extra bit of drama.
The contrast between that electric pink and the black ends is EVERYTHING

Where do I even start with last night!
I hosted a little clients awards ceremony to give back a bit of the love that I see from my clients every day, and honestly despite it being all about my clients - I have never felt so loved and celebrated!
We had a little photo area set up, some basin-provided prosecco 😆 and a little tombola with a chance to win my favourite muk shampoo and conditioner and even a bottle of K18 worth £55! Huge congrats to the winners, well deserved!
I loved being able to talk about the reasons my clients make me smile, because there are SO many. Seeing so many people smile because of my words was so lovely.
A huge huge thank you to each and every one of my clients, the new ones, the long term ones, the once a year ones, the every 6 weeks ones, I adore you all and I wouldn’t be where I am today without you
This month marked 11 years in this industry, and how much my little business has grown is insane.
