🚨 A UV/LED system can be safe without pretending there are zero risks.

The deeper I go into UV/LED research, the more I realise how important it is to look beyond marketing claims.

I’ve come across safety claims that sound incredibly reassuring at first — until you look more closely at the testing conditions and the science behind them.

A device classified as RG0 when tested at 20 cm, while being promoted for use at 10 cm. Claims such as “no harmful UV” or explanations suggesting that because light is non-ionizing, it cannot cause cellular or DNA damage.

These details matter.

I strongly believe companies introducing UV/LED technology into our industry have a responsibility to provide safe products, appropriate testing, transparent information and responsible education.

I am a huge advocate for UV/LED technology, and I believe it can be used safely when we understand the system and follow the correct protocols.

But we don’t need to minimise risks to prove that something is safe.

Good education isn’t about creating fear.
It isn’t about creating a false sense of security either.
It’s about giving professionals enough knowledge to make informed, responsible choices.

This post isn’t about attacking any particular company, nor is it about promoting a product or course.

It’s about raising the standard of information in our industry.

Before trusting “tested,” “safe,” or “RG0”, ask one more question:

Under what conditions was it tested — and do those conditions match how I’m actually being told to use it?

5 & 6 Attending my first festival in UK with my suuper awesome partner Isle of Wight Festival

7. Travelling to Romania & sending my niece to one of the biggest exams in her life 🙈 ( in the photo is me, my niece, my sister and my nephew)

9. Enjoy a day in Therme Bucuresti where we relaxed before …

10 & 11 Attending the outstanding as a Demo Speaker where I supposed to share more about Lami Effect but absolutely everyone was asking about the UV LED System 🤭

I feel this month has been the definition of : WORK HARD, PLAY HARD 🤣🤣🤣

Also is definitely the month when I realised how much the lack of sleep can impact our health and I might have excluded a couple of moments of : a night sleeping in the salon as I had to finish some recording 🤣🤭 and a mental breakdown where a whole day I could not stop crying ( bless my partner) just because of the lack of sleep 🙈

But I am grateful for everything! The good and the lessons ✨
