I said yes to something I wasn’t ready for, with just £5,000 in the bank and a four-year-old in tow. It wasn’t easy, but hard work really does pay off.

As my time in Dubai comes to an end, I’m feeling so grateful I said yes to this retreat.

A year ago, The Blending Studio looked very different. I’ve made mistakes, learned a lot and kept working towards the salon I always wanted to create.

This week has given me space to step back, learn from incredible women and come home with fresh ideas for my team and our clients. I can’t wait to put them into practice.

My only regret? I wish I’d done it sooner.

I started working on my business with Katie Godfrey over a year ago. Since our last retreat in Marbella, I’ve put so much of what I learnt into practice, and my business model looks completely different now in such a positive way.
I know my real numbers. I understand what works for The Blending Studio, what hasn’t worked, and what I can learn from the mistakes I’ve made along the way.
This week we’ve talked about profit and loss, our stories, building a personal brand, events, collaborations and so much more. Having the space to reflect on it all with women who are so open and supportive has been invaluable.
I’ve made friendships and memories to last a life time. Working with Katie has honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my business ❤️

A moment of change
There’s something quite special about tomorrow’s eclipse.
Across different cultures and beliefs, eclipses have long been seen as powerful moments of transition a time to let go of what has been, reflect, reset and make space for what comes next. We’ve moved from the Year of the Snake symbolic of shedding old skin, transformation and leaving behind what no longer serves us into the Year of the Horse, associated with movement, freedom, courage and forward momentum.
And whether you believe in the symbolism of it all or not, I love the thought behind it.
Sometimes life changes in ways we never planned for.
Sometimes things have to end for something new to begin.
Sometimes we have to shed an old version of ourselves before we can move forward.

Tomorrow feels like a beautiful moment to look up at the sky, appreciate how small we are in the grand scheme of things, and quietly decide what we’re leaving behind… and what we want to carry forward. 🌙✨
