Ever looked in the mirror and thought, “Why does everything suddenly feel like it’s heading south?” 😩

As we age, we naturally lose volume through the mid-face, and one of the first places many of us notice this is around the nasolabial folds those lines that run from the sides of the nose towards the corners of the mouth.

As these folds become deeper, they can sometimes make the face look more tired or heavier than we actually feel.

Dermal filler can be used to carefully restore volume and soften the appearance of these folds, helping to create a fresher, more balanced result while still keeping you looking like YOU.

For this treatment, I use a cannula technique to carefully place filler and re-volumise the area. There is typically minimal downtime, although swelling and bruising can occur.

The goal isn’t to completely erase every line it’s about softening, restoring and creating a natural-looking result that works with your face.

✨ LIQUID RHINOPLASTY REFRESHER ✨

A massive shout-out and thank you to my lovely aesthetics nurse colleague Claire at Southway Clinic for yesterday. 🤍

It’s been quite a while since I’ve performed a liquid rhinoplasty, and because the nose is a higher-risk area to treat, it’s always been a treatment I’ve been particularly cautious and conscious about offering.

Recently, though, I’ve had more and more clients asking whether this is something I offer, so I decided it was time to refresh my knowledge and technique.

And there was a familiar face in the treatment hot seat too! 😍

Such a subtle but effective reshaping and balancing of the nose, while still keeping everything looking completely natural. We used Restylane Defyne, with results that can typically last around 12–18 months, although longevity varies from person to person.

SCULPTRA | INVEST IN YOUR COLLAGEN ✨

As we get older, one of the biggest changes we see is a gradual loss of volume, particularly through the temples and mid-cheek.

I get it every single year, without fail… Christmas comes around and suddenly everyone remembers their appointment at the last minute. 😂

So consider this your friendly reminder: if you want to be Christmas-ready, now is the time to start planning your treatments.

Some treatments need more than one session, some need time to settle, and others can leave you with a little swelling or bruising before you see that gorgeous finished result.

💉 PRESCRIPTION TREATMENTS

Some treatments that require a prescription are likely to need more than one appointment, particularly if you need a review or adjustment afterwards. These appointments need to be done in a timely manner so that we’ve got enough time to get everything exactly where we want it.

Because, regardless of how much I love you all… I am NOT doing adjustments on Christmas Day. 😂🎅🏼

Please don’t leave these appointments until the last minute and then realise we’ve run out of time before Christmas.

And if you’re thinking about having a treatment in the New Year, don’t automatically think, “That’s January’s problem I’ll book it then.”

You can get organised ahead of time. Prescriptions can be valid for up to six months where appropriate, so now is a great time to come in, have your consultation, get your prescription sorted and be ready for your treatment in the New Year.

One less thing to think about in January! 🙌🏼

And remember, it’s not just prescription treatments that need planning…

The aim is to have everything settled, healed and looking its best by the time the Christmas festivities begin not to be panicking a few days beforehand.
