“Can physio help with…?”

These are just some of the conditions I’ve treated in clinic recently.

Pain doesn’t always equal damage — and scans don’t always tell the full story.

Research shows that many people with no pain at all still have “abnormal” MRI findings.

This is why good assessment starts with listening, movement, and understanding your story — not jumping straight to imaging.

What should physio look like?

❌ There’s a lot of outdated and inaccurate advice out there
💰 And not everyone has your best interests at heart

That makes finding a good physio harder than it should be.

❗ There’s no perfect formula—but there are clear red flags you should be aware of.

A good physio should:
✅ Help you move towards your goals
✅ Explain the “why” behind what you’re doing
✅ Build confidence—not fear
✅ Adapt things to you and focus on what you CAN do rather than what you CAN’T do

New clinic location 📍

I’ll be working from Darlington every Thursday.

A great space for rehab, treatment, and helping you move better and live stronger.

Still available in West Auckland on other days.

DM to book Thursday appointments, or use the link in bio for West Auckland clinic days.

“Am I on track?”
This is often one of the most asked question in clinic in the early stages of ACLR rehabilitation.

0-4 Week Targets:
- Aim for 120° knee flexion (or as close as possible)✅
- Full knee extension as a minimum, hyper-extension if possible✅
- Minimal/No swelling/effusion✅
- Active quad control, often measured with straight leg raise with no lag✅
- Independent and normalised gait (no walking aids or limp)✅

However, not everyone hits these milestones at week 4- These are just the targets we aim for📈
