Photizo UK - LED Light Therapy Devices

The next episode will feature guest Sophie Sparrow, RVN and Vet Physio.

With Sophie’s RVN background as Head Veterinary Nurse at ZSL (London Zoo), she has years of experience using low level Class 3B laser (Omega) and Class IV laser in her vet physio practice. She has now also qualified as a Vet Physio and has a special interest in rehabilitation.

With her interest to integrate Photobiomodulation in practice, Sophie got in touch with us in 2017 to ask if we could support her to take Photizo Vetcare out to Save Vietnam’s Wildlife where she volunteered to assist at the hospital with severe wound healing for rescued pangolins.

As a result of the improvements the SVW team observed, they updated their wound protocol to include Photizo application and Sophie left with the team the Photizo device which she brought with her.

Sophie is also one of the co-founders of AZEVN (Association of Zoological & Exotic Veterinary Nurses) and Photizo UK are a regular sponsor at their annual conference.

What an awesome weekend of flyball for our ambassador team Cambridgeshire Flyball. Absolute 2 and 4-legged Superstars🏆🏆🥇🥇
We're so incredibly proud of you guys. Totally deserving of the European Champions title🤩

Where to start….!? What a weekend; one for the memories for sure!

We took 2 teams out to the EFC 2026 - European Flyball Championship in Germany. Both teams have worked hard this year to prepare and it showed!

We hoped to make division 1 with our CANINES team but with the incredible level of competition at the event it was touch and go. But we did and it was then a case of how far can we get.

A nice first race against Ultra High Risk saw us have our first win. Then we met the awesome Jolly Jumpers who wiped us out in a 3-0 race putting us into the losers bracket. So it was the hard way from this point forward.

The first race in the losers bracket saw us meet ultra high risk again. With clean racing we took the win 3-1.

Unfortunately are next race was against an empty lane as our good friends at Barking 4 Balls had had to pull (we were sad not to race you guys). So an easy win for us and on we went.

Next up were the mighty Titans and an unfortunate poo-nami 💩 saw us start the race 1 heat down. We battled back to 2-2. Then came a tie. And finally we got that 3rd heat to advance and into the podium positions!

Next up was a re-match with Flyvaryors who we battled again in div 2 at the FOWC. Some nice solid racing saw us take another win and we were into the finals!!!

We met Jolly Jumpers again in the finals and with them being unbeaten we had our work cut out for us! The first race was nail bitting and tight… but we secured a 3-2 win to force a re-final in div 1!

After a short break for our amazing dogs we stepped back into the ring. We went 2-0 down and it looked like we were on our way out. But some fantastic racing saw us claw our way back to 2-2. The last heat was literally s**t or bust. We pushed everything we had from our amazing dogs and we did it! Winning the 5th heat by 0.06s making us EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS 🎉

HUGE Thank you to Aces High Flyball Team for lending us two dogs. We could never have done this without them. We loved having Joe, Tye and Ollie with us too, incredible team mates 💙

We are so grateful to all the teams who have supported and congratulated us. Thank you making our win super special.

Also a massive thank you to every team that we raced. Your sportsmanship was outstanding and it was a pleasure to share the ring with you all.

Canine Sports Events!

This August 6th-9th we're zooming over to Uttoxeter for the BFA Championships 2026. We are so excited to see our many of our Flyball friends again, for a super speedy weekend full of flyball fun.

This same weekend we will have a stand at Rutland Showground for KCAI, the International canine agility festival.

As with all of the canine sports events that we attend, we will have Photizo devices and accessories available to purchase, and are giving away free personalised sports protocols for the canine athletes.
