While I can’t take credit for most of this stunning ear, I am extremely proud of my contribution.

Sophie Bickerton has a stunning collection of jewellery that I was honoured to add to. Over the last two appointments I have added the triple helix 😮‍💨 the cute little upper conch and the rook (gold jewellery tbc) I think I took over 50 pics of this ear and these were the best. I tried ( and failed) to get the three helix piercings in focus, but you get the gist! Will have another pop then Sophie comes back for her downsize.

I love how the baby Zia and the large rose cut gem from Body Vision Los Angeles sit together.

Not sure what to put in the rook yet, so many options…

Trio of champagne for the lovely Cadence. The start of an ear project right here.

Originally she wanted a snug, but her ear anatomy wasn’t suitable, so we went for the next best thing, a faux snug.
I got to choose where to put the third, and I chose a flat. It’s such a versatile placement. Once healed Cadence can have chains, and a statement piece, or something with a dangle, or all three!! ✨

For the lobe piercing, that was actually my second try, the first attempt was wonky and I couldn’t let Cadence leave with it not perfect. We all make mistakes sometimes, and it’s better to admit it and fix them right way. Helps me to sleep at night too! 😅

Real gold

What actually makes gold jewellery good - and why it matters for your healing piercing.

Cheap 14k jewellery is often bulked out with nickel — the single biggest cause of allergic reactions in piercings. I only stock pieces made with palladium or silver alloys instead, so healing isn’t fighting your jewellery.

Plated and gold-filled pieces wear through with time and healing fluid, exposing base metal against an open wound.
Everything I fit is solid gold, all the way through.

Poor casting leaves microscopic air pockets in the metal
— ideal hiding spots for bacteria in a healing piercing.
Well-cast gold is dense, smooth, and consistent.

Jewellery made for a healing piercing has the correct post length, no rough edges, and the right fitting - threadless or internally threaded. A gold earring pulled off shelf was never designed for that job.

I’m quite proud of myself here.

Lauren wanted to add a third eyebrow piercing to her two well healed ones.

First, I had a small breakdown and put the aircon on, squeaky bum time.

Then I got my marks all lined up and ready to go. Lauren originally had some chunky bars in, which I replaced with some smaller titanium barbels so all three piercings matched.

I eyeballed the marks at first, then I got nervous, questioned everything and got the verniers out to check. Happily I was spot on, but it’s nice to have some physical confirmation.

And the result, super happy. Once the bar is downsized a smudge they’ll all be the same size

A few things to know before booking:
✔ Minimum age is strictly 7 years old
✔ A parent or guardian must be present at the appointment
✔ Government-issued photo ID is required on the day
✔ My studio is small and cosy — please keep it to the child and their parent/guardian only. No additional siblings, grandparents or friends at the appointment
✔ Earrings must be kept in for a minimum of 6 months to allow for proper healing
