Busy (and VERY hot) day in clinic today, but I had to post this result ASAP!

I’m going to do an educational video soon on jaw filler, the importance of correct placement, and why collaboration between client and injector is so important. 💉

My client originally came in asking about jaw filler. After assessment, I advised starting with skin boosters first and was hesitant to fully fill the jaw area. Skin boosters can help improve hydration, plump the skin, and create a fresher, more defined appearance — which can naturally enhance the jawline.

One thing people don’t often realise is that filler placed throughout the entire jaw can look amazing initially, but over time definition may soften as the filler integrates into the tissues. Filler should support the tissues and mimic the natural fat pads in the face, which reduce as we age. As this volume changes, we can start to notice the face looking heavier or more “pulled down.”

Incorrectly placed jaw filler can sometimes exaggerate this over time. However, strategically placed filler in the pre-jowl and chin can restore support exactly where it’s needed, subtly stretching and contouring the jawline to create the illusion of a sharper, more structured profile — without overfilling. ✨

I absolutely LOVE this result, and I’m so glad my client and myself worked together to find a solution and the best approach for what she wanted. Consulting my clients before any filler is so important to me, which is why my appointment times are mostly an hour long 💘

Using 3ml of strategically placed dermal filler, we focused on creating a seamless, defined jawline without over-treating the area or adding unnecessary heaviness.

- 1ml placed in the chin helped balance the side profile while subtly elongating the lower face to create a softer V-shaped appearance.

- 2ml was carefully placed along the jawline focusing on the back of the jaw and pre-jowl area. This placement smooths the transition through the jaw, reduces the appearance of early jowling, and subtly enhances natural definition.
