A few people have let us know they’ve had difficulty booking through the Fresha app or online, so we wanted to share the different ways you can get in touch.

💚 A haircut shouldn’t cost more because someone needs extra support.
For some customers at Silent Cuts, a comfortable appointment may involve additional time, one-to-one support, a private appointment, familiarisation visits or sensory-friendly adjustments.
This additional support costs more to provide, but we don’t believe the full cost should be passed on to the customer.
Mainstay DRP’s Pay It Forward Fund helps cover that difference, making sensory-friendly hair appointments more accessible for those who need them.

🎉 Silent Cuts is a finalist!
We are delighted to share that Silent Cuts has been named a finalist in the Best New Start-Up category at the Northern Ireland Social Enterprise Awards 2026.

Silent Cuts was created to provide calm, quiet and sensory-friendly hairdressing, offering greater choice, flexibility and support for customers who need it.

As a social enterprise, our impact goes beyond the salon chair. We provide supported training opportunities for people with learning disabilities and/or autism to develop customer service and hairdressing skills.

Through Mainstay DRP’s Pay It Forward Fund, we also help cover the additional time, flexibility and support some customers need, making sensory-friendly hair appointments more accessible.

This recognition belongs to everyone who has supported Silent Cuts along the way, including our customers, trainees, team, funders and wider community. Thank you for being part of our journey. 💚

💚 Need a haircut today? Same-day appointments may be available.

We're delighted that the salon is getting busier. Walk-ins are still welcome, but we may not always have an appointment available.

The good news is that you don’t always need to book days in advance. If a space is available, you can book on the same day, even shortly before you set off.

Booking before you travel means you know a stylist will be available and helps avoid an unnecessary journey.

✂️💚 Sometimes, feeling understood can make all the difference.
Kathleen shared that busy salons had often felt overwhelming for her family, with noise, waiting, and uncertainty making haircuts particularly difficult. As a result, her daughter had gone more than a year without a haircut.
When they visited Silent Cuts, they were welcomed into a calm, relaxed environment where they felt listened to and understood. Together with Olwyn, Kathleen's daughter found a style that worked for both her hair and sensory needs, while Kathleen enjoyed a relaxed appointment with Brenda.
What means the most to us is that they left feeling happy, at ease and pleased with the results.
