✨ REAL CLIENT. REAL SKIN JOURNEY.
Session 1 of 3 | Microneedling + Lumi-Meso Elite
Our lovely client has started her microneedling journey with the aim of improving skin texture, brightness, fine lines and overall skin quality.
Swipe to see her before and immediately-after photos, along with her own feedback following her first treatment.
And what about the redness?
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the skin’s natural repair process and collagen production.
As part of our treatment at Glow-Rious Aesthetics, we also include:
* A calming, hydrating sheet mask
* Red LED light therapy
* Cold therapy to help soothe the skin
These finishing steps are designed to support skin recovery and help reduce post-treatment discomfort and redness.
By day 3, our client reported no redness, tightness, irritation or sensitivity!
Remember, these are immediate post-treatment photos, not the final results. Skin remodelling takes time, and we’ll continue documenting her progress throughout her three-session course.
Doctor-led treatments. Personalised care. Natural-looking results.

Microneedling doesn’t end when you leave the clinic — that’s when your skin’s work really begins. 🧬
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering a natural wound-healing response and a gradual remodelling process.
Over the weeks that follow, fibroblasts play a role in producing new collagen and elastin as the skin repairs and remodels. This is why microneedling results are not instant — changes in skin texture, firmness and overall skin quality develop gradually.
And depending on your skin concerns and goals, a course of treatments may be recommended rather than a single session.
✨ Healthy skin takes time.
The aim isn’t to change your face — it’s to support your skin’s own repair and renewal processes.

Your body makes its own collagen — but what does it actually need to do it? 🧬
We hear a lot about collagen supplements, but collagen production starts with your own biology.
Your body needs the right building blocks and nutrients to support normal collagen formation — including protein, vitamin C, zinc and copper.
But making collagen is only half the story.
Protecting the collagen you already have matters too. Daily SPF, avoiding smoking, a nutrient-rich diet and healthy lifestyle habits can all support healthier skin over time.
There isn’t one “magic” product that does everything. Healthy skin is about giving your body what it needs and protecting what it already has.

Collagen — we hear about it everywhere. But what is it actually doing in our skin?
One of the questions I hear regularly is: “I take collagen powder… will it actually help my skin?”
The answer is a little more interesting than a simple yes or no.
Collagen is a structural protein our bodies naturally produce, but its production and quality change with age and can also be affected by factors such as UV exposure and smoking.
So in this post, I’m going back to the biology — what collagen is, the different types, how our skin makes it, why we lose it, what can help support it, and where collagen supplements fit into the bigger picture.
Because supporting healthy skin isn’t about one product, supplement or treatment.
Protect it. Nourish it. Support it. Be consistent.
Healthy skin is a long-term investment.

Collagen supplements… do they actually help your skin? 👀
It’s a question I hear all the time — and the answer isn’t quite as simple as you might think.
Tomorrow, we’re looking at what the science actually tells us. 🧬

Microneedling + Skin Booster | Session 1
The beginning of a journey towards healthier, brighter-looking skin.
This client has completed her first microneedling session with a skin booster, combining controlled microneedling with targeted hydration and skin-supporting ingredients.
Immediately after treatment, you can see the expected post-treatment redness alongside a fresh, hydrated appearance. The real benefits of microneedling develop gradually as the skin’s natural repair process continues and collagen production is stimulated over the following weeks.
And at Glow-Rious, the treatment doesn’t finish with the microneedling itself. Every session includes a hyaluronic acid sheet mask, red LED light therapy and cold therapy to soothe, hydrate and support the skin after treatment.
I especially loved receiving her feedback afterwards — sometimes the nicest results are the subtle ones that other people notice too.
Natural results. Healthier-looking skin. A personalised, doctor-led approach.
A big thank you to Ewelina for being one of my microneedling models and for allowing me to share her skin journey and results.

We talk a lot about collagen… but what about the cells behind it?
Meet the fibroblast — one of the key cells involved in maintaining the structure and quality of our skin.
As we age, fibroblast activity changes too. That’s why skin rejuvenation is about more than simply stimulating more collagen.
Stimulate intelligently. Support the skin. Respect the biology.
The right treatment. For the right skin. At the right time.

Collagen gets a lot of attention. But we rarely talk about the cells behind it.
Meet the fibroblast — one of the key cells involved in maintaining the structure and quality of our skin.
Fibroblasts help produce collagen, elastin and other components of the extracellular matrix — the supportive framework around our cells.
But skin ageing isn’t simply a story of “losing collagen”.
With time, fibroblast behaviour changes too, alongside the environment in which these cells live and communicate.
And that’s an important part of how I think about skin rejuvenation at Glow-Rious.
The aim shouldn’t always be to stimulate the skin as much as possible.
It should be to stimulate appropriately, support the skin, respect its biology — and give remodelling time to happen.
That may involve treatments such as microneedling, polynucleotides or Profhilo, depending on the individual skin, its condition and what we’re trying to achieve.
Because there isn’t one “best” treatment for everyone.
The right treatment.
For the right skin.
At the right time.

Session 2 of Ashley’s microneedling journey ✨
Microneedling + Skin Booster to support hydration, texture, radiance and collagen production.
The redness you see is the immediate post-treatment response — the real changes develop gradually as the skin repairs and remodels over the following weeks.
