We are raising money for a very special cause, in memory of two very special brothers — my dad, Patrick, and my amazing uncle John Hanley💙

Sadly, we lost them both at just 66 years old, only 10 months apart. Losing them both in such a short space of time has been incredibly heartbreaking for our family, and we wanted to do something meaningful in their memory.

We are holding a very special Evening with Kevin Phillips to raise money for St Cuthbert’s Hospice, an amazing charity that provides incredible care and support to patients and their families. ❤️

I’m going to keep sharing for this wonderful cause, because it means more to me and my family than I could ever put into words. 🤍

Sadly, just over a month ago, we lost my amazing Dad at the young age of just 66, and it has left a huge, huge hole in my heart that I don’t think will ever be filled.

But amongst all of the heartbreak, I will forever be grateful for the care, love and dignity Dad was shown by the incredible people at St Cuthbert’s Hospice in his final days.

Living in Durham, we all know St Cuthbert’s is there. We’ve heard of it, we know of people who have been there, but until you experience it firsthand with someone you love, I don’t think you can ever truly understand just how special this place is and what they do for people and their families.

I was exactly the same. You hear about these things happening to other people, but you never really think that one day it could be you. I certainly never expected at only 34 years old that I would be losing my Dad so soon.

I have to remind myself how lucky I am to have had 34 amazing years with him, because I know there are people who lose someone they love much younger. But it doesn’t make you miss them any less. 💔

If I can do anything now, it’s to help give something back to the place that gave so much to Dad and to us as a family.

If the money we raise can help St Cuthbert’s continue giving another family the same love, care and experience that we had when they need it most, then every single penny will be worth it.

I’m lucky to have so many of you following me on here, so I’m asking from the bottom of my heart — even if you can only donate £1, please do. Please don’t ever think it isn’t enough. If everyone gave just a little, together it could make such a huge difference.
