Can white stretch marks be treated?
Is one of the most common questions I am having with potential clients at the moment.
And the short answer is – YES!!!
All stretch marks can be treated.
Stretch marks happen when your skin is stretched quicker than it’s structure can adapt and your collagen and elastin fibres are damaged.
Inkless tattooing (also more commonly known as medical needling) creates thousands of microscopic channels that wake up the skin, and sends a signal to your body to say that there are new injuries that need healing.
After the medical needling is complete your body enters a healing phase and produces fresh collagen and elastin to your stretch marks, to begin to heal them and improve their appearance naturally.
One of the most amazing things about medical needling is that it activates your body’s melanocyte production, meaning your stretch marks can return to a natural skin tone without a drop of ink.
The earlier you treat stretch marks the quicker you can see results, meaning stretch marks with some colour in them tend to heal quicker than older white marks. But both can definitely be treated!
Medical needling causes redness to the area being treated for 2-3 weeks so it is good to keep this in mind and plan sessions around any holidays.

Step 2: Scar Camouflage
Once your scars have been prepared, we then use advanced tattooing techniques to blend your scar with your surrounding skin tone using pigment.
Step 3: Ar**la Tattooing
The final step is ar**la tattooing, where we camouflage the scar around your ar**la through restoring colour and shape with pigment.
Depending on your treatment plan, steps 2 and 3 can also be swapped around if you would like to get the ar**la tattooing completed first.
Every journey is completely individual, and we will always guide you through what will work best for your skin, your scars and your goals.

Meet Colette 👋
Colette is the face behind The Skin Camouflage Co and the sole practitioner behind every treatment - meaning if you book with us, you’ll always be treated personally by Colette from consultation through to aftercare.
Before starting The Skin Camouflage Co, Colette spent years building and running businesses in the corporate world - but always felt pulled towards work that felt more meaningful and personal.
That pull eventually led her to medical tattooing. A skill where artistry, precision and compassion come together to genuinely change how someone feels in their own skin.
With a background in design, attention to detail has always been at the core of Colette’s work. From colour matching to creating soft, natural-looking results, every treatment is approached with care, accuracy and a deep understanding that no two client’s scars are the same.
Colette trained with / in Manchester - one of the most respected names in the industry and an international provider of medical tattooing services.
Alongside her medical tattooing qualifications, Colette also holds additional certification in Bloodborne Pathogens, covering the prevention and management of bloodborne diseases alongside strict hygiene and safety protocols associated with tattooing practice.
She is also fully insured and first aid qualified.
But beyond qualifications, The Skin Camouflage Co was created to be a safe, understanding and judgement-free space for anyone struggling with scars, stretch marks and burns.
