I’m honestly so overwhelmed by the support. It’s bittersweet that announcing our closure has brought so much love and interest, but I’m incredibly grateful to every single one of you. 🥹🐘💕

Calling all little witches, wizards and muggle babies! I’ve been inundated with requests to add an extra time session. So why not join us on Tuesday 4th August, 2-3:30pm for a truly enchanting Baby Spa experience at Mama & Me. ✨

This special Hogwarts-themed session includes:

🛁 Sensory Bathing
Our sensory baths encourage exploration through water play, helping to support cognitive development, sensory processing and hand-eye coordination, whilst creating a calm and engaging spa environment for your baby.

💆‍♀️ Baby Massage
Baby massage can help promote relaxation, support sleep, aid digestion, relieve wind and constipation, and strengthen the bond between you and your little one.

Today was one of those days! 🤍

I said goodbye to my last ever student midwife after six weeks working together. She’s going to make an incredible midwife one day, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder of her. Her thoughtful thank you and good luck gift meant the world 🥹 how adorable is the little chick!? I’ve called her De-nice Balakay (if you get this reference: brownie points)🐣

Then, while out walking Maggie this evening, a white feather drifted down right in front of me. Instantly, I thought of my wee Gran.

She was one of the wisest ladies and always said, “Doing is telling.” Her way of telling me: don’t just talk about your dreams…go and grab the opportunities, then let your actions speak for themselves.

When I told her I wanted to start a baby massage business and build Mama & Me, even through her dementia she smiled, told me she was proud and said, “Go for it.” She passed away 48 hours after that conversation 💔

I’ve carried those words of encouragement with me ever since launching!

I’m so proud of everything this business has become, but after months of personally covering the bills as bookings and waiting lists dwindled, I knew it was time to let go. Heartbroken would be an understatement!

To top off an emotional day, one of my lovely antenatal Mamas gave me the sweetest good luck card. I cried… a lot! Building incredible working relationships is why I do what I do. Here’s to a new adventure starting in September… back to Uni I go! 📚🤓

God help me on my last midwifery shift and my final session at the spa btw. Away to bulk buy tissues at Costco 😂🫣🤍

So the whispers are true…
After almost a decade as a midwife, it’s time to turn the page and begin a new chapter.
Over the last ten years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for women and families during some of the most important moments of their lives. I’ve welcomed hundreds of babies into the world, shared in countless tears, smiles and milestones, and provided support through both the joyful and challenging days.
I’ve learned more than I ever imagined, made lifelong friendships, and had the honour of helping mentor the next generation of midwives along the way.
Midwifery will always hold a very special place in my heart and has shaped not only the professional I am today, but the person I am too.
This new chapter also means that, with a very heavy heart, Mama & Me will be closing its doors at the end of September. It’s been quiet since February, and after many months of careful thought, it feels like the right time. It hasn’t been an easy decision, but I’m incredibly grateful to every family who has supported my little business, trusted me with your precious children, celebrated birthdays, attended classes, or simply cheered me on…thank you. You’ve helped create memories I’ll treasure forever.
While saying goodbye to two chapters of my life is incredibly emotional, I’m excited for what lies ahead as I begin my training as a Health Visitor.

Here’s to new beginnings, new opportunities, and continuing to support families just in a different way. 💙

You know how I seem to attract the occasional angry old lady who enjoys sending me hate mail? Well… we’ve had another one. 😂

Apparently this time she’s absolutely horrified that we’re “mixing alcohol and children.”

Ma’am… have you ever been to literally any family restaurant? Or an all-inclusive holiday? 😂🍻

Don’t panic though… nobody’s teaching toddlers to do shots or down a Guinness! The beer is for the grown-up, the ponytails are for the little ones, and the only thing getting smashed is a packet of Mini Cheddars all over my freshly mopped spa floor probably. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

After our sold-out Father’s Day session, you’ve all been asking for another one… so heres the details 🙌
