Excited to introduce you to Indiana (Indy), born at 12:23pm on Friday 31st July (⚡️Harry Potter’s birthday! 🪄), weighing a lovely 8lb 9oz. 💙

I thought it was fitting to announce his arrival on what was his due date, as I did the same with Eli.

Like with Eli, my body has decided that birthing a baby requires a little bit of after-drama, and unfortunately I’m back in hospital under the watchful eye of the NHS’s finest. I have a lot of unanswered messages, so I hope you’ll understand that I haven’t quite been in the right headspace to reply.

It will come as a shock to absolutely none of you that Indy’s middle name is Simon, after my beloved Dad. I’ll always be a little sad that they never got to meet, but I’ll make sure my little boy grows up knowing all about his amazing Grandad.🩵

A pat on the back to those of you who voted “boy” in my polls—I am now well and truly outnumbered at home! Thankfully I get to spend my working days surrounded by girls, so I think I’ll survive. 😂

We have absolutely no idea whether Eli’s sibling is a boy or a girl, so before heading off on maternity leave I roped two of my lovely friends into being Team Blue and Team Pink.

Once I’m back from maternity I’ll arrange my own cake event for those who wanted to support but who I’ve not seen 🥰

On Saturday we held a coffee morning to fundraise towards some new children's chairs and tables. At this event we raised an amazing £320 towards our target ☺️

One of our lovely mummy's has also been helping us to fundraise by creating some yummy sweet bags. Thank you to Kim Davis Beauty Therapy and all her lovely clients for all your support, The Jenny Wren staff, children and families really appreciate it ❤️

How’s everyone surviving in this heat? My little room gets VERY warm as the sun is on it for a massive chunk of the day. I’m currently waiting on a new fan delivery after dropping and breaking my little one 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I’ve borrowed one that’s doing the job for now.

Please bear with me if I’m a little slower than normal or running slightly behind. Being 8 months pregnant in a UK heatwave is not the one 😂 plus products behave differently in the heat too. Wax gets stickier and takes longer to set, and gels get runnier which makes them harder to paint with.

If any of you turn up telling me how much you’re enjoying the weather, you will be asked to leave and banned for life 🤣🤣🤣

New (old) room, same me. 🩷

From the 20th June I'll sadly be saying goodbye to Steph's house for the second time and moving my little beauty space back home.

With baby number two arriving soon and life about to get slightly chaotic, it just makes the most sense logistically for our family right now. Most of my regulars already know this move is hopefully temporary, as Sam has promised me my dream workspace when we eventually move house (no pressure Sam 😅).

Don't worry - it'll still be the same calm, private 1:1 appointments, just in a different location... with the added bonus of much easier parking. I'll be updating my booking system address and messaging everyone with upcoming appointments so nobody ends up at the wrong place 😂

I also just want to publicly thank Steph for letting me completely take over part of her home for the last two and a half years. I've loved not only having such a lovely space to work from, but also getting to see one of my best friends in-between clients for little catch-ups.

And finally, thank you to all my loyal clients who continue to follow me around Eastbourne wherever I decide to set up shop 🤭
Honestly, my job is only as enjoyable as it is because of you lot. What a bunch of legends you are 🥰.

I still have no idea how long I'll be taking off for afterwards — I think recovery from a c-section plus adjusting to life with a newborn and a high-needs little boy, means I'm going to have to see how we all get on as a family first (not terrifying at all 😂)
