CLIENT SPOTLIGHT 🔦 𝐀𝐉𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐌

I’ve been working with AJ over the past few months regarding an ankle & calf issue that was keeping off feet

After assessment we put a plan in place to improve transverse plane stability & build up strength over inversion & eversion, the rest is history 📈

Working alongside Steve Fitchet | Hyrox and S&C Coach we put a return to run in smoothly & built back an even better version of AJ 💨

Your body doesn’t live in one plane of motion, make sure your training doesn’t end up stuck in one

Nothing replaces the fundamentals, especially if you don’t want to get injured again

If you train past tolerance time and time again and then just take a few weeks off while taking a recovery pen, your really just setting yourself up to fail & reducing tissue tolerance further

I have nothing against BPC and have seen more first hand evidence to back it than disregard it - but it’s not something id recommend over doing what has been the silver bullet since time began, do your rehab

Find the causation, put in steps to make it not the case in future via an appropriate rehab plan

MOVEMENT+ with

This one meant a lot, to help Grace get back to a level of normality again and out of the spiral of injury

Can’t thank her enough for the hard work and dedication 💪🏻

HYPERMOBILITY❓

A lot of people who are more of the hyper-mobile side tend to be very stiff around joints, in particular the shoulder. Due to the joint being able to go past normal range, the body creates tension in order to help stabilise the joint

Stretching might feel like it helps but this will not make that go away & risks adding more range which is even further counter productive

Learn to control the range and move from A to B in a manner that the body trusts, this will overtime be far better use & will allow the nervous system to trust positions again = less rigid muscles

MOVEMENT+ with Emma Robertson 🏃🏻‍♀️

This one has meant alot as the inflammation and pain Emma was dealing with was pretty severe & getting to being as close to pain free as possible has been a big challenge

Kudos to her for putting in 100% and the blind faith she has had in the process to get back to a level of normality.

Next up - Half Mara and building all time strength 📈

CLIENT SPOTLIGHT 🔦 Ashley | Online Hyrox Coach

I’ve been working with Ash for the past 5-6 months, around a long standing low back and Achilles issue

It’s been one of the most complex cases I’ve dealt with, but we’ve seen progression month on month - all while peaking for races & increasing running volume

Each week in collaboration with Steve Fitchet | Hyrox and S&C Coach we adapt around fatigue & build in rehab to suit Ash’s busy schedule

There is still work to be done but mega proud of the progress with Ash & looking forward to seeing her achieve her full potential 🤜🏻

STRENGTH TESTING NOW LIVE 📈⬆️

I’ve been trialling this for the past few months with online clients to get the final tweaks in how best to use it in clinic & it’s been a massive positive in the rehab process

Nothing like this exists in Scotland, full joint by joint, muscle my muscle strength testing

Covering max strength, muscular endurance and rate of force development

20+ assessments covering all main joints - it also allows for numerous isolated specific joint testing at different angles / ranges ♾️

For athletes looking to test pre/post season or for those who take training seriously 📈

4 YEARS IN BUSINESS & AT PROJECT 🏡

It’s been some shift the past few years, building up clientele & doing as much CPD as possible. I’m fortunate enough that the vast majority of my clients I’ve worked with for 3-4 years now, building connections is the best part of the job.

The goal was to always work with people who are serious about training, I’ve now got 7 GB athletes & 50+ high level competitors who I work with closely which i would have killed for at the beginning, extremely grateful I get to do this everyday.

In the past 12 months I’ve managed to close my diary to new clients & focus more effort into building the online rehab presence with the help of and mentorship’s , more recently expanding my role within the Performance Academy which I’m really excited to grow with 🙏🏻

It Feels like yesterday I had a meeting with about renting a space & he kept it free for me until i qualified, forever in his debt for the opportunities and encouragement he’s given me over the years ❤️

None of it would have been possible without the Mrs by my side 🫶
