💕 Hello and welcome to all my new followers! And a massive thank you 🙏🏼 to everyone who has shared and recommended my page recently.

I thought it was probably time for a little updated welcome post to replace the one that’s been pinned at the top since 2022 😂

For everyone who is new here, I’m Lyndsey, your skin & massage therapist and the owner of Empower Skin Therapy — my home-based salon which I’ve now had for just over 4½ years.

I’ve worked within the beauty industry pretty much since I qualified back in 1998. After working in salons, on cruise ships 🚢 and in spas, my goal was always to eventually have my own little space and treatment room — and now I do. 🥰

I genuinely love my job and my career. It gives me the flexibility I need as a mum of three, allowing me to work around my family’s schedule and, most importantly, not miss those important milestones in their lives.

But the part I love most is helping people feel comfortable and empowered in their own skin. 💕

My main focus is skin treatments and massage, so while we’re working on the outside, I also want you to leave feeling relaxed, less stressed and a little bit better on the inside too.

My favourite treatment at the moment has to be the CACI MicroLift — think of it as a little gym workout for your face! 🙌🏼😂

I’m constantly learning, training and improving my knowledge so I can continue bringing the best treatments into my little space. My appointments are relaxed, personal and never rushed. When you’re here, this is your time to switch off and unwind.

And behind the scenes? You’ll usually find me running around after the kids ( and the husband)😂 But when I do get some downtime, I absolutely love treating myself to a spa day 🧖🏼‍♀️ or catching up on my true crime podcasts.

And yes… I am absolutely one of those people who can happily fall asleep listening to true crime podcasts . 😂🙈

Like so many others in the beauty and aesthetics industry, I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear of the tragic death of Vikki Solomon.

Although we never had the chance to meet in person, I knew Vikki through our industry. We were members of the same professional groups, and we had spoken briefly over the last year . She stood up for fairness within the aesthetics industry. This has had a profound impact on many of our industry friends.

It has also brought back memories for me personally. Some of my clients will know that my daughter’s close friend was tragically murdered alongside her mum back in 2018. Seeing another family, another circle of friends and another community experiencing such unimaginable heartbreak is difficult to comprehend.

It leaves me asking the same question that so many of us ask…

Why does this keep happening to women?

Every time we hear another story like this, there are children, parents, siblings, friends, colleagues and entire communities left trying to make sense of something so senseless. The ripple effect is enormous and lasts for years.

Today, my thoughts are with Vikki’s family, her friends, her colleagues and everyone whose lives she touched. I hope they find strength in one another during the days, weeks and months ahead.

⭐️ Skin Tag Removal Results ⭐️

These before and after photos show my client’s underarm just a few weeks after having six skin tags removed (three from each underarm).

Even though darker skin tones can be more prone to temporary post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), you can already see how beautifully the skin has healed and how much smoother the area looks.

My client had been putting up with these irritating skin tags for over a year, and she has already noticed a huge difference in comfort. A further treatment will help refine the remaining tags and achieve an even better result.

⭐️ Skin Tag Removal ⭐️

These skin tags around the eyes were successfully treated using Advanced Electrolysis, a precise method known as Thermolysis.

This treatment involves the use of a very fine sterile needle to deliver a controlled electrical current, cauterising the excess tissue and allowing the skin to heal naturally.

Although skin tags are harmless, they can often affect a person’s confidence, particularly when located in highly visible areas such as the face and eyelids.

My client had lived with these skin tags for many years and was delighted with the outcome of his treatment.

The after photograph was taken approximately four weeks following treatment and demonstrates excellent healing. There is only a small area of residual redness present, known as post-inflammatory erythema, which is a normal part of the healing process and is expected to continue fading over the coming weeks.

My client was so pleased with the results that he chose not to attend his scheduled four-week review appointment and kindly provided this photograph himself.
