And just like that… my first bridal styling membership was born. šŸ„¹šŸ’•āœØ

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know this didn’t happen overnight.

It’s been built through years of working with brides, teaching masterclasses, mentoring stylists and answering hundreds of messages that all started the same way…

ā€œCan I ask your advice on something?ā€

ā€œI had a trial the other dayā€¦ā€

ā€œI’m not sure how to replyā€¦ā€

Those messages made me realise something.

Learning a new technique is one thing.

Working with real brides is something completely different.

Because no course can prepare you for every situation you’ll face.

A bride changes her mind after her trial.

A hairstyle doesn’t quite behave the way you expected.

You drive home replaying the morning in your head, wondering what you could have done differently.

Or you just need someone to look at a photo and say, ā€œHere’s what I’d do.ā€

That’s why I created The Styling Circle.

A place where you don’t have to work it all out on your own.

A place to ask the questions that only come from working with real brides.

A place to refine your styling, build confidence in your decisions and learn from someone who’s been exactly where you are.

Because sometimes the biggest breakthrough doesn’t come from another tutorial.

It comes from one conversation.

And I couldn’t help but wonder…

What could change if you didn’t have to figure it all out on your own?

✨ The doors to The Styling Circle are now open.

Whilst everyone else is packing for festivals this summer… you’ll usually find me packing for another wedding morning.

If I’m travelling across the UK and staying away overnight for one of my brides, these are the beauty products that have earned a permanent place in my makeup bag.

✨ L’OrĆ©al Paris Revitalift Glass Skin Liquid Cream , I’ve genuinely used this for over a year and love the fresh, glowy base it gives my skin before makeup.

šŸ¤Ž YSL All Hours Bronzer, My favourite multitasker. Bronzer and eyeshadow in one, so it keeps my 4am routine nice and simple.

šŸ‘ Maybelline Sky High Mascara , I’ve repurchased this more times than I can remember. I always come back to it.

šŸ’‹ Maybelline Lifter Plump Gloss , I’m not really a lipstick girl, but I do love a glossy lip. This adds a lovely wash of colour, feels hydrating and gives that subtle plumping effect (just be prepared for the little tingle! šŸ˜‰).

These are the products I reach for because they fit my routine and make getting ready at 4am a little easier.

If I had to save just one from my makeup bag, it’d be the L’OrĆ©al Paris Revitalift Glass Skin Liquid Cream. It’s become a staple in my everyday routine and gives my skin that healthy glow before I even start applying my makeup.

What’s the one beauty product you’d be devastated to leave behind?

I genuinely thought everyone knew this unwritten rule… šŸ˜‚

If someone compliments your outfit, shoes or bag, you’re automatically obliged to tell them:

✨ Where it’s from.
✨ How much it was.
✨ Whether it’s still available.
✨ And if there was a discount involved. šŸ˜‚

It’s just girl code, isn’t it?

Be honest… what’s the first question you ask after ā€œI love your outfitā€? šŸ˜‚šŸ‘‡

I never thought creating content would become such a big part of my job.

When I first started talking to the camera, I’ll be honest… it felt really awkward.

I worried I’d sound silly, look cringe and wondered whether anyone actually wanted to hear what I had to say.

Then I realised something.

Almost every bride enquiring with me had found me on Instagram.

They weren’t just looking at my hairstyles.

They wanted to know who they’d be spending one of the biggest mornings of their lives with.

They wanted to hear my voice, get a feel for my personality and know they’d feel comfortable when I walked through the door at 6am.

So if you’re putting off filming because it feels uncomfortable…

Please don’t wait until it feels perfect.

Some of my favourite pieces of content have been filmed on busy wedding mornings, in tiny bedrooms, while prepping my brides with the products I use every single weekend.

The important thing isn’t that it’s perfect.

It’s that it’s real.

Because someone is already looking for exactly what you do…

They just need the chance to see it.

This little moment was filmed while I was prepping my bride’s hair using some of my go-to L’OrĆ©al Professionnel products. I nearly didn’t press record… and I’m so glad I did.

A little look behind the weddings

The last one was the biggest surprise 😮

My son turned 21 this month.

One tradition I’ll never stop is birthday breakfast

When he was little it usually was pancakes he asked for his breakfast on his birthday , and it reminded me of a story that still makes me laugh now.

My mother-in-law was looking after him one day ( not his birthday) while I was at work. As I was walking out of the door she asked,

ā€œWhat does Mummy normally make you for breakfast?ā€

Without even thinking he replied…

ā€œPancakes every day!ā€ šŸ˜‚

I can assure you that definitely wasn’t true.

This year it was pastries, fruit, yoghurt and iced coffee.

Some traditions are just too nice to stop.

I can safely say that zero therapy has helped more than anything else.

As someone who absolutely loves skincare and makeup, stripping everything back has been much harder than I thought it would be.

At the moment it’s just water, one moisturiser, SPF and hoping my skin barrier keeps repairing itself.

It’s definitely heading in the right direction…

Just very slowly.

Some in gorgeous family homes.

Some in the most incredible venues.

I’ve also welcomed three lovely brides for their previews.

The sleek half-up, half-down Hollywood waves have definitely been one of this year’s most requested styles and I still absolutely love creating them.

The best bit…

No two brides ever wear it exactly the same.

One thing I’m really grateful for this month is my Bridal Collective team.

They’ve supported me on almost every wedding.

For larger bridal parties it means everyone gets the time and attention they deserve.

I genuinely love watching everyone doing what they do best.

It makes such a difference to the whole morning.

I’m working weekends.

My husband works all week.

So when we get chance, we make time.

This month we escaped to Cambridge for cocktails, sushi at Sticks’n’Sushi and a proper catch up.

We’ve always said we’ll never become that couple who sits in silence over dinner.

There’s always something to talk about.

Although…

If we’ve had a little disagreement there might be five quiet minutes first. šŸ˜‚

Thankfully neither of us can stay annoyed for very lo

Sometimes the best wedding hair isn’t the hairstyle you originally planned.

When Olivia came to her preview, she had a completely different vision. We created a more structured look with extra height and a much more polished, set finish.

But a few weeks before the wedding, we had a chat.

She told me she’d been thinking about it and wanted something softer. More movement. A style that still felt polished but that she could run her fingers through.

That’s one of the reasons I always encourage my brides to stay in touch after their preview. Sometimes your vision evolves, and that’s absolutely okay.

As soon as Olivia described the finish she was looking for, I knew exactly what I wanted to reach for.

I’d recently added the Mark Hill Pick ā€˜N’ Mix Heated Round Brush to my bridal kit after using it on my own hair, and I loved the soft, bouncy finish it created. It gave us that polished look without making the hair feel overly styled.

By the end of the morning I’d reached for it again when styling her glamorous mum, and it quickly became the tool everyone was asking about.

It’s funny how the smallest finishing touches often make the biggest difference.

What’s the one tool you constantly reach for in your kit?

If you’re new here, here’s something you might not know about me…

Type B (or maybe Type A pretending to be Type B? šŸ˜‚)

Decide to have a little declutter…

End up emptying the entire garage.

Decide to freshen up the kitchen…

Now the whole house feels upside down and somehow looks worse than when I started.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who does this? 🤣

Thankfully we’ve booked Centre Parcs Spa for Friday because I think I’ve earned a sit down by the time this kitchen is finished.
