✨ Grey blending: the truth about “I’m completely grey” ✨

This lovely client came to me after 30 years of permanent professional colour every 6 weeks (honestly… that’s commitment 👏)

Over time, when you’ve been colouring that regularly and that deeply, the contrast between artificial colour and natural regrowth can become dramatic 😅

So dramatic, in fact, that many people are convinced they’re 100% grey 😮 but let’s take a closer look …

Years of darker permanent tint through the mids and ends created a strong regrowth line … the classic “I must be fully grey now” moment.

📸 Photo 2 (zoomed-in parting) tells a different story
When we actually zoom in and look closely at the natural regrowth, you can clearly see a mix of silver and natural pigment. This hair is roughly 40–50% grey, not 100%.

🚨 This happens ALL THE TIME🚨

Dark colour creates such a strong contrast that it basically gaslights you into thinking your whole head has turned silver overnight 🫣

Instead of continuing the every-6-weeks permanent colour cycle, we removed that heavy artificial depth and created a softer, dimensional colour designed to blend with her natural grey pattern as it grows in.
