I create herbal medicines and remedies from nature’s apothecary. Each remedy is infused with the earth’s magick. I forage by the moon, call upon totems, work with crystals, bless with fire and use energy healing. All my herbal
remedies are created from my cottage in the South-West of England. I desire to make you more conscious of the healing power of plants and how they can affect our inner and outer worlds. Nature has been my birth-right. In my homeland of Lithuania, pagan beliefs are woven into the fabric of daily life. I grew up with the greatest reverence for Mother Earth. The knowledge of the natural world was handed down to me by ancestors - my grandmother - my mother. As a girl, I would go foraging with my family. I spent weekends lost in the kingdom of flora and fauna. My grandmother showed me which herb to brew into a tea to settle an upset stomach, which plant to chew on to soothe an aching tooth. The more I knew, the more I loved. As I grew, I became fascinated by the moon. I’m not the first woman to be in awe of the moon’s phases and cycles and the way she governs everything on the earth beneath her. Nowadays, I do most of my foraging by her light. I
created the term ‘moon foraging’ which draws on the ancient and ancestral wisdom of astrological foraging. Harvesting only occurs when the plant’s healing properties are at their peak. I closely follow the Moon’s pattern. The lunar and zodiac phase and the exact time of day, affect the potency of a plant’s medicine up to ten times. It also affects its colour, aroma and length of its life. The moon emanates a unique vibration and can aid the healing process so I seek to capture its power in my remedies. flower artwork and mandalas. It’s the most important and sacred element in the Baltic region. It was my duty to tend the fire in our house, making sure it was well stoked and its embers never went out. As I sat by the hearth, I would
listen to what message the fire had for me. Over the years I have learned how to work with its magick. I use it for cleansing and healing purposes. I infuse my herbal oil with its powerful energy. Through the power of intention, ritual and
dowsing, I weave fire’s purifying and protective properties into my remedies. I want to share the earth’s magick with you. I want you to know that the earth can heal almost any ill. I want you to look at the earth beneath your feet, the branches above your head, the plant brushing your fingertips and know that
they hold the answers. I hope that my herbal creations will bring you physical and spiritual alignment with the natural world. I hope they inspire you to rebuild the world and care for Mother Nature.
