Why you Shouldn't Pick Off Your Nail Enhancements 👀

Confession time... 🙈

Yes... even I've picked my own nails off before. I know better, but sometimes curiosity (or stress 😅) gets the better of me. Most recently being today and it’s not looking great

Here's why it's a bad idea...

✨ Picking doesn't just remove the product.It often takes layers of your natural nail with it too, leaving them thin, weak and sore.

You can see how much thinner my thumb nail is where I’ve picked off the BIAB

✨ It can cause damage that takes months to grow out. Those flaky, peeling nails you end up with? That's usually from the picking, not the BIAB or gel itself.

✨ It makes your next appointment harder. Damaged nails don't hold product as well, meaning your next set may not last as long.

💙 If your nail starts lifting... DON'T pull it off.

Instead:
🦀 Pop me a message if it's within the first few days.
🦀 Keep it short so it doesn't catch.
🦀Avoid using it to pick or peel things.
🦀 If it's catching on clothing or hair, cover it with a plaster until I can see you.

A tiny bit of lifting is much easier (and kinder to your nails) to fix than a nail that's been picked clean! 🧡

No judgement here—I know the temptation is real! But your future nails will thank you for resisting. 😉✨

🩷 BIAB Overlay or BIAB Infill… Which one do you actually need?

I know the booking system can be a little confusing, so here's a quick guide to help. 🌿

🩷 Book a BIAB Overlay if…
• It's your first BIAB appointment with me.
• You don't currently have BIAB on your nails.
• Your previous BIAB has been removed.

🩷 Book a BIAB Infill if…
• You already have BIAB on your nails.
• You're coming back for your regular maintenance appointment (usually every 2–4 weeks).

⚠️Got product on your nails from another salon?

Please make sure you add a removal to your appointment too. Every nail tech works with different products, so I need a little extra time to safely remove the existing product before applying my own. This gives me the best base to create a beautiful, long-lasting set for you.
