💭 “Why don’t you offer Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage?”

It’s a question we get asked — especially with Brazilian lymphatic massage being all over social media right now.

The answer is simple: we’re trained in both, but at Fifth Avenue we choose to offer Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). 🤍

Brazilian lymphatic techniques are often chosen for their more immediate sculpting, contouring and de-bloating effect and can involve firmer, faster techniques.

Our MLD treatment has a different focus.

Using very gentle, slow and rhythmic movements, MLD is designed to encourage the natural movement of lymph through the lymphatic system. There’s no aggressive pressure, no uncomfortable “sculpting” and no talk of “before and after” transformations.

We want our lymphatic treatment to be about supporting lymphatic flow, reducing feelings of swelling or heaviness and providing a calm, gentle treatment — not simply changing how your body looks for a photograph.
