Body Remedy continues to organise as a small team of artists, curators and creative practitioners based in Glasgow 🌱
The breadth of our individual creative practices is fundamental to how we dream, strategise and organise together. With the resources available to us, we make space for our team to sustain their own practices, this approach enables Body Remedy to resource BPOC multi-artform practices holistically and from multiple perspectives.
This year’s Music & Movement programme, semente, has emerged from such values by inviting artists whose practices draw us back to the root of Body Remedy’s core purpose, that our bodies contain life-affirming knowledge which can be reached and experienced by embodied movement and communal practices.
Body Remedy was founded through a collaborative spirit that continues to shape how we work. While Mele and Zoë have stepped on from their directorial roles, their vision, values and ways of working remain woven through every layer of the organisation.
Over the next month, we’ll be reintroducing the people behind Body Remedy and sharing more about the practices that inform our work.
