Myo-fascial Reiki release treatment.
A deeply intuative session of myo-fascial release techniques and Reiki, seamlessly blended together. Feel completely held, allow the body to open, let go of restrictions both physically and energetically.
Working with the fascia, nervous system and energetic systems of the body i will apply beautiful long held myo-fascial stretches to areas of the body presenting with physical restrictions. This can be carried out direcly on skin or through a sheet. A perfect time to connect with the Reiki energy, asking it to flow to whereever it is needed in the body.
I have been working with both modalities for years now. Bringing them together in this deeply healing combination makes so much sense. It is so powerful.
If you feel stiff, achy, restricted in the physical body and / or feel stuck, muted or in limbo in life generally then this may be a lovely treatment option for you. Very calming, relaxing and restorative.
As always, this can be adapted so it is suitable for most folk. Please get in touch if youre not sure and lets have a chat. Im used to working with complex health conditions.
60, 90 or 120 minute treatments available to book via my website 🙏🏻💫💛

Seasonal yoga teacher training module 6.
I am way behind at posting this as about to start module 7 tonight. But i want to keep documenting the year, as so far its been transformational 💫💫💫
There are these principles in yoga which we study in order to help find harmony both within ourselves and with the outside World. A big element of module 6 for me was studying Ahimsa - non violence. From the big things like not being physically violent, to the small things like how we talk to ourselves.
We were all given yoga masters to study and we are to do a presentation on these during module 8. Mine is Mahatma Gandhi, whose primary living manifestation was that of Ahimsa. So its really fitting and im enjoying learning more about his life and his contribution to man kind.
The other big thing was planning yoga classes... and you already know about that bit!
So ill not 'shut up' as im practicing self compassion / non violence. I'll finish up now and wish you all a wonderful weekend. Im off to learn how to pronounce 'Ubbhaya Padanangusthasana' and the season of late Summer yoga practice.
Namaste 🙏🏻

I just taught my first yoga class!
Thank you to my first 2 students 🙏🏻
Key take aways / challenges;
💫 Helping students to find what works for 'their body' vs 'getting the pose right'.
💫 Adapting the class to be suitable for different abilities.
💫 Fun and laugher essential especially in Summer season - taking a half bow variation in Sucirandhrasana (thread the needle) will do that, as half the class will topple like dominos... teacher included!
💫 Long Savasana essential at end of heat building (yang) Summer practice.
I will be offering a trainee yoga class (free) every Weds at 7pm for 2 people each week. If youve already expressed your interested, ill be in touch. If you havent and are interested, please drop me a pm.
Thank you 🙏🏻
The serratus posterior muscle is responsible for the movement of the ribs during the action of breathing. Its a small muscle which plays a support role, rather than a heavy hitter in the inhalation and exhalation process.
It supports proprioception, so the way we hold ourselves or brace ourselves through our posture. Now this is not a post about 'good' or 'bad' posture as this is not a relevent as we once thought. Plus its not my area of expertise. I always consult or refer to a physio were relevent.
This post is about my area of expertise, which is stress; how this manifests in the body and how to let go of it. It is about when a client comes to see me with a dull ache under the shoulder blade and possible discomfort across the shoulder blade and down the arm. Its about how i work thoroughly with the intention of supporting all the muscles in a certain area, not just the heavy hitters.
This is also why i support folk to breath more fully into the rib cage - front and back body as it gives serrautus posterior a little work out, from which it can more easily let go.
I know my page has become a little yoga heavy lately, so i just wanted to reconnect with you in terms of bodywork. Its still my core and absolute passion.
I just love how connected the body truly is.
See you on the couch soon.
