Once you’ve checked in with one of us, you can get changed in the changing rooms (or wear your saunawear under your clothes for a quick change).
We’ve got 9 changing rooms, one much larger and made more accessible with a ramp. These ones were built by Vermilion Studio and the incredible art work was done by There is no escape, make it better. The original three (not pictured here) were built from salvaged close doors by Máté Géhberger.

Once you are changed, you can pop your stuff in one of the lockers - we have 16! Bring your own lock if you like.

Now you can jump in the woodfired sauna, hand built by Máté Géhberger and Laimas Pirts - kept around 90c with sustainable wood, burned efficiently in the epic Narvi 30kw stove, custom built in Finland. We’ve got 13 seats, it’s wheelchair accessible and you can book it out as a group if you like!

Once you’ve broken a sweat, it’s time to shower off before you plunge 💦 We’ve got three cold outdoor showers, with a lower more accessible one which are screened from view by these cute orange sheets.

We’ve got two fresh, filtered plunge options. First up is this big tin bath, which you can comfortably fit two in with their legs stretched out. It is tucked behind the sauna, so we call it the ‘secret plunge’.

We’ve also got these two big tubs, which are chilled - and you can fit three people in!

After all that, you can relax on the deck in the sun on our extremely comfy deck chairs.

Southside q***r DJ hero Simon is known for making bodies sweat at his Hot Mess parties. But for Hot Box, he’s going to let the sauna generate the heat, while he swaps the disco bangers for a deeper, slower, spacier vibe. Glasgow Community Sauna is going to be bathed in sound, with a soundtrack of the most magical music: ambient, chill-out, drone, choral, shoegaze and more. We look forward to you joining us for the first ever Hot Box.

You're also very welcome to chill in our garden after your sauna, kids and caregivers are always welcome at GCS and the Bowling Green is open all weekend ~ make sure the yellow gate on Kenmure St is open.

We have had such a stunner of a week here at the sauna, including .birches first big sauna session with freshly foraged whisks, hosted our first ever listening session, we've got a hammock 🚨 and obviously everyone is super cute including the cats 😍
