Unpopular opinion: I don’t think practitioners should be concealing the natural redness around the edges of the lips or editing them to look unnaturally crisp.

Those tiny details are part of what freshly treated lips actually look like. Removing them can create unrealistic expectations and make results appear more dramatic than they are in real life.

As practitioners, our job isn’t to sell perfection. It’s to show honest results, educate our clients, and build trust.

Clinical photography should reflect the treatment, not the editing.

I’d rather my clients know exactly what to expect than be impressed by an image that doesn’t represent reality.
