Before something becomes cancerous, there are often early warning signs your skin gives you.

Actinic Keratosis (AK) is a common precancerous skin lesion caused by long-term sun exposure. While the word “precancerous” can feel worrying, identifying and treating these changes early is key to helping prevent further progression.

AKs often appear as rough, dry or scaly patches on areas regularly exposed to the sun, such as the face, scalp, hands and arms. They can be easily overlooked, which is why regular skin checks and expert assessment are so important.
