I absolutely love education and learning, I truly believe you can never know too much. ✨
I recently spent time with a group of like minded hairdressers, all there for the same reason: to learn, grow and be the best we can be. I’ve taught a couple of classes myself already, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still need guidance and education. In fact, I think the best educators are the ones who never stop being students.
Wanting to learn more doesn’t mean you’ve failed it means you’re invested in improving. 💫
I’ve always said that if you leave a class having learned just one new thing, then it’s been worth it. Every little bit of knowledge helps us grow, and that’s what keeps our industry moving forward. ❤️✂️

Let’s be honest…
There are plenty of hairdressers with 20+ years of experience who still feel a knot in their stomach when a client asks for lived-in, low-maintenance colour.
Not because they’re bad hairdressers.
Not because they’re too old.
Simply because nobody taught us this stuff when we trained.
So instead of confidently saying “Absolutely!”, you might find yourself thinking…
“Oh sh*t… what now?” 😅
If that’s you, I want you to know you’re not alone.
You don’t need to start from scratch.
You don’t need to feel embarrassed.
And you definitely don’t need to hand those clients over to someone else.
You just need the right training, explained in a way that actually makes sense.

One of the biggest shifts in my colour work came when I stopped thinking about adding more and started thinking about placing better.
Less can absolutely be more.
When every section has a purpose, the finished result looks clearer, more dimensional and far more expensive.

Can I ask you something…
When did we start believing we have to know everything?
I’ve been hairdressing for over 30 years, and I’m still learning. In fact, I hope I never stop.
One thing I’ve realised is that so many talented hairdressers doubt themselves. They think they’re too old to learn something new, or that they should know more by now.
That’s exactly why I started educating.
Not to show people how much I know, but to help other stylists build confidence, believe in themselves and realise it’s okay not to have all the answers.
Because the best hairdressers aren’t the ones who know everything…
They’re the ones who never stop learning. 🤍
