​At Totally Locally Keighley, we’re passionate about supporting our independent businesses from hair salons and beauticians to massage therapists and nail artists. These local independents are the heartbeat of our town, but missing an appointment without letting them know hits them harder than you might think.

​What Happens When You "No-Show"?

​LOST EARNINGS
Unlike salaried positions, many independent stylists, beauticians, and chair renters only earn when a client is in the seat. When someone simply doesn't turn up, that slot is gone and so is the income needed to cover rent, bills, supplies, and living costs.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR OTHERS
A vacant hour means someone else who urgently needed an appointment—perhaps for a special occasion, an interview, or a bit of self-care—missed out because the slot was marked as unavailable.

​PREP & OVERHEAD COSTS.
Stylists and beauticians spend time mixing products, sterilizing tools, setting up equipment, and keeping lights and heating on in anticipation of your arrival. Those costs come straight out of the business's pocket.

​THE EMOTIONAL TOLL
Independent business owners pride themselves on personal connection and client care. Waiting around in an empty salon wondering if a client is safe or coming, only to realise it's a no show, is disheartening.

​​Life Happens, And That's Okay
​Schedules change, kids get sick, emergencies pop up, and plans fall through. Local businesses get it, it happen to them as well.
​A quick phone call, text, or DM to cancel or reschedule even at short notice allows businesses to offer the slot to someone on a or adjust their day. ​And if life completely gets in the way and you miss an appointment for unforeseen reasons, please get in touch as soon as you possibly can. A quick message after the fact lets the salon know you're alright.

Thank you for your continuing support
Our cancellation policy is 48 hours notice any shorter than this the following applies.
24 hours 50% of the appointment charge will need paying, prior to another appointment been booked.
Anything less and 100% will need paying prior to another appointment been booked.
A simple phone call or message will do. We know things happen, but we are extremely busy at the moment, so please be considerate and let us know.

Just a heads up we will be closed this Saturday for our very late Christmas do and we will also be closed Monday 27th as we will be out attending a wedding. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your continuing support. We appreciate you all.
