💼 Work: 39.5 hours
😴 Sleep 7 hours a night: 49 hours
❤️ Everything else: 79.5 hours
It’s crazy to think I’ve only just reached working full time hours again with Artie starting school but it’s only for a couple months before I’m off again for baby 2 🤭😂 what does you mean I’ve waited 5 years for this and it’s only going to last 2 months?!
I love working. I love being a mum but if I’m being completely honest I always say I’m not a ‘mumsy mum’ if that makes sense? Being a stay at home mum is my idea of hell and getting back to work really pulled me out of PND. My ADHD brain just needs to be doing more than cleaning, cooking and cuddling a baby all day. S.A.H mums need more credit as I could never! But I know the ‘mumsy mums’ are living their dream.
Likewise, hats off to the mums that go back full time when their babies are 1 or below. This wasn’t for me because I wanted to give Artie as much quality time as I possibly could before him starting school but for some it’s not an option which is heart breaking and if that’s what you’ve got to do then well f**king done because it’s not easy being away from them that much either! I know with this baby I’ll have to work more now that I have a mortgage and more bills.
But no longer taking a day off in the week has proved harder than I ever thought, especially because I no longer work from home so I actually only spend a couple hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening in my home to get house stuff done (kind of sucks when I actually just want to enjoy my new house but keep telling myself that’s what I’ll finally get to do on Mat leave😂) the luxuries of putting wash loads on and prepping food between clients is no more! I say get yourself a work from home boyfriend like I have to help out with all that 🤭 we’re nearly in 2027, women can work just as hard and prove they can be just as important in providing to a family 🖤
Let this be your reminder that you’re smashing it in life whatever you’re doing whether that be staying at home and looking after your babies or working in the city 50 hours. ALL MUMS YOU’RE KILLING IT 💫

Today is National Brow Day but the only day you should be thinking about your brows is…. every 6 weeks! Is your next appointment booked? 👀

On a real, I can’t believe how long I’ve loved doing brows now. Obviously I put the blades down a couple years ago and swapped to purely lamis, wax and tints but honestly I am still so passionate about brows and how important they are in terms of face framing! Imagine how crazy we’d all look without them 🤭 truly one of the most fulfilling treatments; to see the looks on my clients faces when they have fresh brows and walk out the salon feeling a different person is an unexplainable feeling ✨

The update you’ve all been waiting for 💫 you know this organised queen wasn’t going to keep you waiting long for full clarification on the plan for Hildenborough clients whilst I am on maternity leave welcoming another little boy into the world 🧸
Amy will be bookable on Treatwell as usual (2 months in advance) ✏️ starting Thursdays 10am-3:30pm from 10th December (excluding 24th & 31st Dec).
Amy has been part of LA Beauty Lab for a long time, so I know many of you already know and love her — and I’m so happy that she’ll be there to keep you looking and feeling your best with fresh lash extensions and lash lifts while I’m away. 🤍

I will still be monitoring all messages whilst I am off so I hope to still keep in touch with lots of you.
