On a weekly basis I get messages from clients who’ve come to me since their stylist doesn’t offer grey blending. One of the biggest issues I hear as to why they don’t offer GB is “it will impact my income”.

1. Grey blending does require maintenance - different maintenance yes. Just different. So there’s still appointments to be made.

2. If you don’t offer it, that doesn’t stop clients from getting it? That just stops them coming to you. What’s more of an impact on your income? Clients leaving you all together or switching from their 6 week root touch up appointments?

3. Grey blending isn’t going anywhere. It’s here and it’s sticking. Ignorance is what will cost you money. Why would clients stick around when they know there’s services out there that are better suited?

4. GB isn’t for everyone yes. You’ll always have some clients that LIVE for their 6 week appointments and that’s fine - this clearly doesn’t apply to them. But for the vast majority, the thought of being able to go 10, 12, 16 weeks or LONGER is a dream.
