WHAT IS A SILK PRESS?

A Silk Press is a styling service designed for natural curly or coily hair without using chemicals. ➿➰
It gives the hair a smooth, shiny, and silky finish—hence the name "SILK PRESS." (also traditionally pressing combs are used as part of the process)

So how does it work...?

No chemicals are used just professional products to prep and treat the hair.

We use heat tools—mainly a blow dryer and straighteners of various sizes to manipulate the hair into a straight form. 💇🏽‍♀️

Correct technique and product selection will then leave the hair bouncy, lightweight, and flowy.

A silk press is designed to mimic the look of relaxed or naturally straight hair but only temporarily.

Usually the results can last 1 to 2 weeks, depending on humidity, activity level, and hair care. ⛹🏽‍♀️

Then if you have had a safe and successfull Silk Press it will revert when washed or exposed to moisture/humidity. 🚿💦
