7 years of Base Beauty Salon Ltd 🤍

What started as a tiny idea, a lot of determination and more hard graft than I could ever put into words has grown into something I’m endlessly proud of.

There’s been long days, stressful nights, laughter, tears, setbacks, huge milestones and moments where I genuinely didn’t know how I’d keep going… but somehow here we are. 7 years later.

This business will always be extra special to me because my dad’s blood, sweat and tears went into building it with me. There are reminders of him in the salon every single day and I think that’s partly why it’s never just been “a business” to me. It’s a huge piece of my life, my family and my heart.

When I look back at where we started compared to where we are now, the growth honestly blows my mind. Not just the salon itself, but the people in it, the confidence, the knowledge, my team, our clients, community we’ve built.

To every single client who has supported us over the years, whether you’ve been here since day one or just recently found us,thank you. Honestly. You’ve kept me going through some of the hardest periods of my life and I’ll never take that support for granted.

Thank you to everyone who kept things going for me while I was off and thank you to everyone for bearing with me. It means more than you know. My diary is fully open again and I can’t wait to welcome everyone back. 🤍

Following the loss of my dad, I won’t be returning to work in January.

Due to the festive period there are delays with arrangements, and I need to be present and involved in the decisions being made during this time. I need to take this time to do that properly and to look after my family.

I’ve been overwhelmed by the kindness of so many clients who have messaged asking how they can help.

Genuinely, the best way to support me right now is by continuing to support the salon and booking in with the girls while I’m away, it makes a real difference to them and helps keep everything running steadily behind the scenes.

I’ve moved as many of my appointments as possible, keeping the same days and times where I could. Any appointments that couldn’t be moved to the same times/dates will be contacted by the girls shortly to rearrange.

We know life doesn’t always go to plan, especially at this time of year, things come up, people get unwell and diaries change. We genuinely understand that.

What we also need to be open about is that when an appointment is cancelled late or not attended, that time can’t be replaced. Our team is still in the salon, your treatment space is prepared, and we’re often unable to fill that slot at short notice.

As a small, independent salon, missed appointments directly affect our ability to pay our staff and keep the business running smoothly. That’s why we have a cancellation policy in place, not as a punishment, but as a way of protecting the time and care that goes into every booking.

We always aim to be fair and consistent. If a cancellation fee is incurred, it does need to be settled before a future appointment can be booked.

This year has tested us, grown us and reminded me exactly why I’m so proud of the team behind Base Beauty.
We’ve laughed, learned, levelled up and supported each other every step of the way and finishing the year like this feels special.

We’re heading into the final (and busiest!) weeks of 2025 with full hearts, fresh motivation and so much gratitude for every single client who chooses us.
