How lucky am I that I get to get out and walk with Tia, my German shepherd dog, every day?
Apparently it’s and it got me reflecting on another reason I’m so grateful that I have this freedom and autonomy over my day.
Always: gym, then breakfast, then dog walk and then down to business 🥰
After years working in a “normal” job, sitting at a desk all day, I’ll never get tired of this and so grateful I was able to build my TROPIC business to create the life I love!

Musings on International Relaxation Day..
I know these days are just made up things but anything that makes us pause for a minute and take some time for ourselves, can’t be a bad thing, right?
We so often put this type of thing to the bottom of the list but actually it’s a critical part of your health and wellbeing.
Think about the oxygen mask analogy - you have to put your own mask on first, to ensure you can help others.

When I first came across Tropic, I simply fell in love with the products and became one of their first loyal customers.
Then, after hearing about the business opportunity, I became an Ambassador in January 2013.
At the time I was working full-time in financial services with absolutely no beauty background. But I was inspired by Susie’s story, the investment from Lord Sugar, and the vision behind the brand.
I’d reached a point where I was missing a real sense of purpose. Tropic quickly became my fun weekend hobby – “playing shops”, meeting lovely people and helping them feel happier and more confident in their own skin.
What really captured my heart was that Tropic was about so much more than skincare. The eco initiatives, the charity partnerships and building schools for children without access to education showed me this was a business built on values, kindness and making a genuine difference.
What started as a weekend hobby grew into something I could never have imagined, and in 2015 I was able to leave my corporate career behind.
Today, I have the privilege of supporting a wonderful team of over 600 Ambassadors, and I’m just as passionate about Tropic’s Infinite Purpose as I was when I started. Earlier this year I was humbled to visit one of the schools Tropic has funded in rural Nepal.
Seeing the impact with my own eyes is something I’ll never forget.
Looking back, I don’t think I realised how stressed I was until I left my old career. The freedom wasn’t just about working for myself – it was about having control of my time, protecting my wellbeing and creating a life I genuinely love.
That’s the beauty of Tropic. It can be a hobby, a little side income, a chance to meet new friends and build your confidence... or, if you want it to be, it can become a truly life-changing career.
