Fear Keeps You in Egypt | Choosing Faith Over Fear
Fear often convinces us that staying where we are is safer than trusting God with what's ahead.
Yet many of life's greatest breakthroughs begin with one courageous step of faith.
Whether you're healing from trauma, navigating chronic illness, rebuilding after loss, starting something new, or simply trusting God for direction, remember this:
Faith doesn't require all the answers.
It simply requires the courage to take the next step.

🔥 With temperatures rising across the UK, it's an important reminder that heat, dehydration and intense physical exertion can increase the risk of exertional collapse in some people living with sickle cell trait. (For educational purposes only).
Knowing the warning signs, staying well hydrated, warming up properly, taking regular rest breaks and stopping at the first sign of concerning symptoms can help reduce risk.
Awareness isn't about fear—it's about making informed, safer decisions.
***Remember: slowing down isn't weakness—it's wisdom. Listening to your body today may help prevent a medical emergency tomorrow.

Writing a book isn't about giant leaps.
It's about showing up consistently and celebrating every small milestone along the way.
Every page you write...
Every chapter you complete...
Every editing session...
..moves you one step closer to publishing your book.
Progress is still progress, no matter how small.

✨ A reminder that even in the quiet seasons, your work can still be making an impact.
Last week wasn’t one of my most productive weeks. I had to slow down, rest, and accept that my body simply wouldn’t allow me to do all I’d planned.
So, to receive the news that I’d been awarded the CREA Global Award in recognition of my work as a Brainz Magazine Executive Contributor came as a complete surprise.
It’s a humbling reminder that our worth isn’t measured by how much we produce in a single week. Sometimes, the seeds we’ve sown long before continue to bear fruit while we’re simply learning to rest.
I’m incredibly honoured and grateful for this recognition and would like to thank the Brainz Magazine team for this award.
To anyone who’s currently in a quieter season, wondering whether your efforts matter—keep going. Your work may be making a greater impact than you realise.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support, encourage and follow my journey. Here’s to continuing to educate, advocate and write with purpose.
With gratitude,
Louise Rachael Mwape Miller

Not every sickle cell trait carrier experiences symptoms.
However, rare neurological complications have been documented in the medical literature, including events that may involve sudden weakness or stroke-like symptoms.
If sudden weakness develops, seek urgent medical attention.

Readers rarely connect with perfection.
They connect with honesty.
Whether you're writing fiction, memoir, devotionals, poetry, or non-fiction, your unique voice is what makes your work memorable.
You don't need to tell every part of your story to write authentically. But readers can often sense when a writer is holding back through fear.
Write with courage.
Write with purpose.
Write from the heart.
Your words may become the encouragement someone else has been searching for.

Vulnerability isn't weakness.
It's having the courage to show up as yourself, even when life feels messy, uncertain, or difficult.
I've learned that authentic healing begins when we stop pretending we're okay and start being honest with ourselves, with God, and with others.
The strongest people aren't always the ones who hide their struggles.
Often, they're the ones brave enough to face them.

Fatigue has been reported in the recorded literature and frequently discussed within symptomatic SCT communities. In my experience — and from many SCT carriers I’ve spoken with — fatigue is one of the most common symptoms reported, despite historically being told SCT is ‘benign’.
Whilst the exact mechanisms remain under-researched, some researchers have proposed that factors such as altered red blood cell behaviour, exertional physiology, oxygen delivery differences under certain conditions, and other SCT-related complications may contribute for some individuals
Not every carrier experiences symptoms. But not every carrier feels “fine” either.
Persistent fatigue deserves conversation, investigation, and further research.

Sometimes the hardest chains to break aren't physical—they're emotional.
Many of us desperately want God to open new doors whilst we're still carrying the pain, disappointment, rejection, grief or fear from previous seasons.
But throughout Scripture, God wasn't only interested in changing His people's location—He wanted to transform their hearts.
Healing is often the first step out of Egypt.
As we surrender our wounds to God, we begin making room for peace, freedom, renewed identity and the purpose He has always intended for us.
✨ If you're navigating a season of healing, transition or emotional restoration, I'd love to bless you with my FREE **Exiting Egypt** ebook.

Fear convinces many aspiring authors that they need more time, more confidence, or more certainty before they begin.
The truth?
Many successful writers created while feeling uncertain.
Fear may still show up.
You simply learn not to let it drive.
Your unfinished manuscript cannot help people whilst staying inside your head.
What fear shows up most often in your writing journey?
