Not much shocks me anymore — I’ve had a whole life before this chair, heck, I was an A&E nurse. I’m also no angel like some people seem to think I am….so whatever you’re telling me, I’ve probably been around it or lived it. And if you know me, you know I’m a chronic oversharer myself, so I’m 100% here for it 💜

Cornered my poor husband with a camera in his face today 😂 (all consensual in the end, promise) and asked him what it’s actually like being my client. His answer was pretty honest — said it felt strange at first, he wouldn’t lead with it to his mates, but he wouldn’t be embarrassed to talk about it either.

Got me thinking though — it’s not that aesthetics isn’t for men, it’s just that it still feels aimed at women. Even down to little things like my branding being all lilac….not intentional, it’s just my favourite colour, but I get why that might make it feel like a “her” space. Feeling good about yourself was never supposed to be gendered though. That bit’s for everyone 💜

It’s funny how your idea of “making it” changes.

I genuinely used to think the dream was having clients travel from all over the country. Someone once told me that’s how you know you’ve made it, and I completely bought into it.

Now? I don’t actually want that.

If you’re coming for a facial, that’s a huge commitment to keep making. And if you’re having injectables, I want you to be close enough to come back if you need a review, have a question, or just want that reassurance. To me, that’s part of looking after people properly.

These days, success looks different.

It looks like people in Horsforth, Adel, Headingley and the surrounding areas trusting me with their face. It looks like building relationships, seeing clients regularly, and being there long after the treatment is finished.

Maybe that’s not everyone’s definition of success, but it’s definitely mine now. 💜
