What a ride it was. Some of the best years of my life… and definitely some of the most challenging.
Looking back, I still can’t believe I was 25 years old managing a team of 25+ incredibly talented, creative makeup artists. Every single one of them was unique, opinionated, passionate… and never, ever boring! 😂
The smell of fake tan every Saturday because we all knew we’d be hitting the town that night. We’d finish our shift, get glammed up and head straight out… somehow still making it back in for our Sunday shift after about two hours’ sleep. 🤣
Back-to-back makeup appointments… not just Saturdays, but pretty much every single day.
The shop floor was so busy you could barely sneak off for a drink. Customers clicking their fingers asking for “A54”, bringing in fake or empty packaging trying their luck with a free BACK 2 MAC lipstick, or attempting to return products that had very obviously been loved for months. 😂
Honestly, every single day came with a story.
They really were the best of times and, at times, the hardest. But I made friends for life, unforgettable memories and learned more than I ever imagined.
Once a MAC girl, always a MAC girl. ❤️
