Popped over to Loughborough this morning to worship with my friend Gemma! 😊
What a lovely service! It was different from my usual Methodist worship, but that’s actually one of the things I really enjoyed about it.
I genuinely believe we only grow in faith when we’re willing to experience different ways of worshipping and expressing that faith. Sometimes stepping outside what we know and are familiar with can open our eyes to something new.
There was some great worship music, meaningful prayers and a really thought-provoking message. Each part of the service gave me something to reflect on and take away.
Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be changing from my usual Methodist service and faith anytime soon! 😂 But I definitely appreciated the experience, and I found there was something really fulfilling about worshipping in a different way this morning.
It was a lovely reminder that although our traditions and styles of worship may be different, we can still come together in faith, learn from one another and worship the same God. ♥️🙏🏽
Thank you, Gemma, for inviting me along! It was lovely to worship with you.

⚠️ ⚠️ Awareness is Key! ⚠️
Today I’ve had two moles removed from my back.
Both had been bleeding from time to time, and I could never wear a white top without having a plaster over them because I never knew when they were going to start bleeding! 😂
I honestly didn’t think they were doing me any harm apart from leaving blood on my tops… but I was wrong!
I went to see my doctor, who referred me to dermatology, and today they’ve been removed as an urgent patient.
At the dermatology clinic, they explained that they were carcinomas — a slow-growing form of non-melanoma skin cancer. Because I already have cancer and my immune system is affected, they wanted to take these seriously and have them removed incase they turn into melanomas.
I definitely didn’t know that!
And this is exactly why I’m sharing this.
Please check your skin. 👀
If you have a mole or mark that is changing, bleeding, crusting, or simply doesn’t look right, get it checked.
I nearly ignored mine because, in my mind, they were just annoying me by ruining my white T-shirts! 🤣 I always wear sunscreen and to be honest very rarely take my top off outside!
Thankfully, I went to the doctor.
We spend so much time talking about cancer awareness, but sometimes it’s the things we think are nothing that we need to get checked.
Don’t ignore it. Don’t guess. Get it checked.
Awareness really is key. 💙

❤️ £535 raised so far! ❤️
I honestly can’t thank everyone enough for supporting this.
Every donation is helping turn an idea into something that can make a real difference to people affected by cancer.
As this grows, the money will help us provide:
☕ Coffee mornings and meet-ups — somewhere to come together, talk, laugh and share experiences.
💙 One-to-one support — for those who don’t feel comfortable in a group, providing a more private space to talk and be heard.
🤝 Practical support and encouragement — helping make difficult days a little easier and reminding people they’re not alone.
🌱 A lasting community — bringing patients, families, friends and loved ones together throughout their cancer journey.
£535 might be a number on a fundraising page, but behind it are 535 reasons to keep believing this can make a difference. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, encouraged me or simply believed in what I’m trying to create.
We’re only just getting started. 💙

Just a quick one from me ♥️
I’m placing a Forever Living order this evening, so if you need anything, just drop me a message and I’ll add it to the order. 🌿😊
I know I don’t talk about my Forever side of things as much as I used to, but it’s something I still do alongside everything else and I’m always happy to help if you need anything.
Otherwise, it’s just another day of taking things as they come, keeping myself busy and trying not to think too much about the 19th! 😂🤞🏽
Thanks for all the messages, love and support as always. ♥️

Dates have come through for my PET scan results and to discuss surgery on my liver!!! 😬
19th August, 2.30pm at Glenfield Hospital!
At least then I’ll know how serious the 8 lesions on my liver are and what the next steps will be.
One step at a time! 🙏🏽🤞🏽♥️

My email account has been blocked today for absolutely no reason, which is incredibly frustrating as I use my email almost as much as I use my phone! 🤦♂️📧
I can’t even contact them properly because they’re an American company and apparently have just one email address — sales@! 🤣
Their chat service is even better… 🤣 I explained the problem to the chatbot, and its response was basically, “Thanks for letting us know, we’ll email you with a reply.” 🤦♂️🤣
Brilliant… except I CAN’T ACCESS MY EMAIL! 😂😂
I’ve now set up a temporary email account, so if you normally email me, please be aware that I won’t receive it at my usual address or be able to reply.
If you need to contact me, please use my temporary email address for now. ♥️🙏🏽 (pop me a message and I’ll send it over)
Hopefully this will be sorted very soon!

💙 Let go of what you can’t control
One of the hardest things about being diagnosed with cancer is learning that there are so many things you simply can’t control.
▪️You can’t control your diagnosis.
▫️You can’t control the scan results.
▪️You can’t control how long you have to wait for an appointment.
▫️You can’t control what the doctors might say.
▪️You can’t control how other people react.
▫️And sometimes, you can’t even control how you’re going to feel when you wake up that morning.
And that’s okay.
I’ve realised that spending hours worrying about things I have absolutely no control over doesn’t change the outcome — it just steals today’s peace.
So I’m trying to learn to let go.
Not because I don’t care.
Not because I’m not scared.
And certainly not because I don’t have moments where my mind goes into overdrive!
But because I can only deal with what is in front of me today.
If you’re going through cancer, or supporting someone who is, maybe try this:
💙 Focus on today, not every possible tomorrow.
💙 Ask the questions you can ask, and let the medical team deal with the things you can’t.
💙 Don’t feel guilty for having a good day. Cancer doesn’t mean you have to stop laughing, enjoying yourself or doing the things you love.
💙 Don’t feel guilty for having a bad day either. You’re allowed to struggle.
💙 Find something each day that makes you smile. However small it might be.
💙 Talk to someone. You don’t have to carry every thought around in your own head.
💙 Celebrate the little wins. A good night’s sleep, a nice meal, getting out for a walk, an appointment going well — they’re all worth celebrating.
And most importantly…
Don’t let something you can’t control take away something you can control — the opportunity to make today count.
I don’t know what my next scan will show.
I don’t know what treatment might come next.
I don’t know exactly what the future holds.
But today I’m here. Today I’m smiling. Today I’m living.
And today is enough. 💙
If you’re going through cancer yourself, what helps you let go of the things you can’t control?

Very rarely do I sit and read!
Yes, I’m a good Christian man. I read my Bible daily, as well as using my Bible app, but additional to that, if I’m not reading emails for work or learning/reading my online course for preaching, I tend to listen to music, whether through my earphones or on my speaker! 🎶 but it hasn’t to be music, not audiobooks or podcasts.
TV is pretty non-existent really. Normally, I’ll sit down after 9pm to watch something on catch-up or an easy-to-watch reality show. (Love The Traitors 🤣)
This book was recommended by a friend last week, and as a good friend I purchased it. So far, I’m only on page 12, but the conversations I’ve had with a few friends recently have already been addressed!
Basically, what I’ve been saying about my understanding of troubles and God, is there, black and white, in front of me! Sometimes, things are placed in our lives to give us clarity. 🙏
Whether you have a strong faith or just believe there is something, then this is for you! Don’t let doubt sink in, and it’s time you decided who sits at your table! I know who’s sitting at mine!

Precious moments at Trinity Church this morning. ♥️🙏🏽
Not only was the service well attended, but my past local preacher mentor was there too. It was definitely a blessing to see Paulette and Mike, especially as they prepare to depart for their new life in Devon!
Continuing with my theme for the month of struggles and uncertainty, today’s service was very well received, with some lovely and inspirational comments afterwards.
Feeling truly blessed and grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given. 🙏🏽♥️

Simple things in life! 🌿✨
Garden lights, a bit of relaxation and time to think.
Over the past four days, three people close to me have asked me about my faith and my experience with cancer.
These conversations were face to face, and I honestly believe that when having difficult conversations, that is so important. Texts, comments and chatting online can be misleading and misunderstood, but real, raw conversations are worth every penny.
I honestly believe what I said reflected my beliefs, my identity and my genuine love for being open and honest about God. I honestly believe I answered from the heart and definitely gave my faith the highest respect.
Sometimes there’s no need for complicated answers — just honesty, faith and being true to who you are. ♥️
I’m extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to lead worship at Trinity Narborough Road in the morning! See you at 10.30am! 🙏🏽♥️
