Horrifikit is closing ☹️

It's not because I want to, and I've held on as long as I possibly can, but unfortunately due to health issues, regulations and tariffs, it's just not a viable option for me to continue anymore.

I started Horrifikit in 2019 because I adore the makeup and special effects industry, but it's not exactly social anxiety friendly. Talking to people face-to-face is a huge struggle for me, despite many years and different types of therapies I've just never been able to quite get it down. But face-to-face makeup application is the whole point of this industry lol. I wanted to be part of what I loved so bad, so I thought, how can I be behind the scenes? And thus Horrifikit was born as the final project in my Honors Degree.

In the past five and a half years I've absolutely loved being a part of the industry, despite battling health issues. Seeing the creations made with and including my pieces that I've poured my heart and soul into, and seeing them come to life through customers has honestly been such a joy.

I've spoken to and met some wonderful people, and I just want to take a moment to personally thank and because while a lot of people preach about supporting small businesses, they really really do care and support. The joy I got from their shoutout, meeting them, and the support I received from them over the years was just incredible. Thank you so much both, it still means the world to me.

Unfortunately, especially in recent years my health has declined, I have lost enough hearing that at the age of 27 I had to have hearing aids & they're still investigating what has caused that, among other things, and the stress of it all it just not working well with me, on top of running the business alone, full time.

I'm considering opening at Halloween with limited stock, and if there's something you're really after when I'm closed I can probably get it to you if you shoot me a message, but in general I'm closing my orders off in the next few weeks, so if there's anything you'd like to stock up on, pop over to the shop, there's a sale on to end it.

Two years ago today - isn't it crazy that two years ago was 2022?🤯 I can't believe how fast time is moving.

Anyway - I've been meaning to work some more on prosthetics like this - I have so many ideas for nose prosthetics (and in general) it's a struggle to know what to start with 👃🏻
