Exciting news.

On Friday 26th June and every Friday after . Lisa Burrows is going to join me at the shop.
Doing what she loves with a holistic approach.

Lisa is a highly qualified reflexology, massage therapist, crystal therapist and Reki master.

She has a calm disposition and joins me with the ethos of therapy approach to address healing , pain and positivity.

We have been friends for more than can tell you and I'm so excited and happy to be working alongside her .

Please join me in welcoming her to our safe space and I wish all the love and light she can take on.

As individuals we process alot in daily life and she has the ability to help ease and let go of negativity through her work.

I have listed her price list below. Please get in contact with her for availability as she will control her own diary. But you can always message me too and I can check for you.

She intends to increase her hours in time and if your not available on a Friday she will be able to accommodate. So don't be afraid to ask her about other days / times .

What’s The Difference Between A Trim & A Full Haircut? Let's see 😱
A trim is cheaper than a full haircut, right?! Wrong unfortunately...Those words will give any stylist/hairdresser/barber some serious thoughts, but why? Whether it’s removing an inch or four inches, there’s no question—stylists are using their time, hands and skills to create the desired looks their clients want, no matter the length! Which is what we continually train for and spent years in college and of course the courses on-going attend.... But how do you determine what’s really considered a trim? Is there really such a thing?

My beautiful friend today. The request . To even out colour , cut to create volume and substance. The solution was to add some low line baylage spatular foils to even out the colour . Cut was textured layers through out without loosing length with a more flattering softness. How I loved doing this for her today 😍. She is nothing but beautiful inside and out xx

Today ....I had the pleasure of colouring Chloe s hair . I'm biased as she is my eldest Grand daughter but she is beautiful xx

ATTENTION PLEASE READ !!

I pinched this post off Kylie ,after a conversation yesterday with somwone who though that hair was soooo expensive, ywt necessary. But didnt understand why we charge the prices we do....There opion was god you must be making a fortune !!! Sadly that isnt the case. What goes in the till isnt what goes to me in wages . So just to explain. Id appreciate it if you read it. January in wages i took home £517.61 .... not even half minimum wage . I do this because I love my clients and the people I see.

Now let me break it down…because this conversation needs having.

No babe, your hairdresser isn’t charging you for vibes or because they “fancied a new bag”.
The price is the price because hair costs MONEY.

And let’s be honest… if a plumber, mechanic or whatever said £500. No arguments. But a hairdresser…. Wow chaos. And I keep my prices low for affordability.

Let’s start with the boring but brutal facts ⬇️

🧪 Products
K18. Bonders. High-grade bleach. Professional colour. Toners. Treatments. Professional shampoos and conditioners.Colour assit.
None of this is cheap — and if your hairdresser isn’t using it… that’s when you should worry. I'm all about condition and longevity.

⏰ Time
Your appointment isn’t just the hours you’re sat in the chair.
It’s prep, consultations, formulation, foiling, washing, toning, cutting, styling, laundry, cleaning making brews…
Sometimes 2– 4 hours of focused graft on ONE head.

🧠 Skill & training
This isn’t GCSE art with some foils. It's Master craftsmanship , highly qualified stylists.
This is chemistry. Colour theory. Damage control. Problem solving. Let’s no forget the FREE therapy sessions we give daily.
Years of training, courses, failures, fixes, and experience so you don’t walk out orange or green because you have put something on your hair and have no knowledge of colour as well as tone and under tone.

💷 Overheads
Rent. Electric. Insurance. Stock. Assistants. Backwash units. Tools. PRS licence, PPL licence, Accountants , Bank fees. Professional body subscriptions (SSRH , National Hairdressing Federation )
The lights don’t stay on with good intentions alone. Even the electric is double for a business than a household.
Then you have treats for the kids, stationary , phone bills,VAT , consumables like baby wioes and cotton wool Foils, Perm papers ...I could go on and on ! But you get the jist !

💁‍♂️ And yes… a WAGE... we occasionally don't even take one !
But hairdressers deserve to earn a living.
Not “mates rates”, not exposure, not vibes — an actual wage. This one confuses me the most, if a plumber, mechanic or whatever said it’s £500 - absolutely NO challenge, a hairdresser says it TOTALLY OFFENSE AND CHAOS. Yet having nice healthy hair helps with confidence and well being.

You’re not paying for hair.
You’re paying for knowledge, safety, results and accountability. As well as support no matter the subject.

If you want cheap hair….it exists. Sometimes I’m not sure how.
If you want GOOD hair — this is what it costs.

And if someone says
“£___ for hair is a joke”

Cool.
But fixing it later will cost double or more as well as occasionally a massive amount of time to get it right 😘

Hair isn’t expensive.
Bad hair is. 🔥✂️
