One of the biggest things that’s changed my natural hair routine is learning to pay attention to my hair’s moisture cycle instead of following arbitrary rules.
For me, more shrinkage, tangles, knots and hair that feels drier than usual are all little signs that it’s time for wash day.
Wash day isn’t just about getting your hair clean. It’s your opportunity to cleanse your scalp, remove product build-up, rehydrate your curls and start your moisture cycle all over again.
