I'm absolutely delighted to share that Dock and Aloe is now available at HiVibe Nutrition on Rice Lane, Liverpool.
If you've never visited before, Hi Vibe Nutrition is one of Liverpool's hidden gems – a welcoming independent business dedicated to helping people feel their best through nourishing, plant-based food, freshly prepared meals, cold-pressed juices and wellness-focused products. Their passion for healthy living shines through in everything they do, and it's exactly the kind of local business I'm proud to work alongside.
You can now pick up a selection of Dock and Aloe's Liverpool-inspired natural soaps while you're there, making it even easier to support two local independent businesses in one visit.
You'll find them at 261 Rice Lane, Liverpool, L9 3BY, and they're open Monday to Friday, serving up fresh, wholesome food and drinks throughout the week.
A huge thank you to the team at Hi Vibe Nutrition for supporting small local makers. If you're in the area, pop in, have a browse, grab something delicious, and maybe take home a little piece of Liverpool in soap form too 💚
One of my favourite things about running Dock and Aloe is seeing where these little bars of Liverpool end up.
This week, a bar of Dock and Aloe is making an incredible journey from China to Brazil aboard a cargo ship, travelling thousands of miles across oceans and through some of the world's busiest shipping routes.
Liverpool to Brazil is roughly 5,500 miles, and from China to Brazil the voyage itself can be well over 10,000 miles depending on the route taken. Yet tucked away amongst that vast journey is a small reminder of home.
There's something quite special about knowing that even when you're thousands of miles from the Liver Birds, the waterfront and the Mersey, a little bar of Scouse soap can still bring a piece of Liverpool with you.
Dock and Aloe was inspired by the city I love, and it never fails to amaze me where that inspiration ends up travelling. From market stalls on Lark Lane and in the city centre to homes, holidays and now the open ocean, every bar carries a little bit of Liverpool with it.
So wherever life takes you — whether it's around the corner or across the world — home is never quite as far away as it seems. 💚⚓🧼
One of the nicest things anyone said to me over the weekend wasn't about a soap at all – it was about the Dock and Aloe logo.
A lot of people have asked about it over the past year, so I thought I'd share the story behind it.
At the heart of the logo are Liverpool's famous Liver Birds. According to local legend, the two birds perched atop the Royal Liver Building are known as Bella and Bertie. Bella watches over the River Mersey and the sailors arriving in the city, while Bertie faces inland to keep an eye on the people of Liverpool. Legend says that if either bird were ever to leave their perch, the city itself would cease to exist.
Of course, I've given them a little Dock and Aloe twist.
Instead of carrying seaweed in their beaks, my Liver Birds are proudly carrying bars of soap. One holds a bar topped with an aloe plant, while the other carries a wrapped bar ready to be gifted and enjoyed.
Beneath them sits Liverpool's iconic waterfront skyline. The Three Graces, the historic waterfront and the buildings that have welcomed generations of travellers, sailors and dreamers into the city. For centuries, Liverpool's docks connected us to the world and helped shape the character, culture and creativity that the city is famous for today.
The River Mersey flows beneath it all – the lifeblood of our city and home to the world-famous Mersey Ferry, a symbol of Liverpool recognised across the globe.
Every part of the logo was designed to celebrate Liverpool, because every Dock and Aloe soap is inspired by the city I call home.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to comment on it. It means a lot that people see the story behind the brand as well as the soaps themselves. 💚

A huge thank you to Pauline at Liverpool Makers Bazaar for another wonderful Sunday at the Old Police Station on Lark Lane.
As always, everything was beautifully organised from start to finish, creating such a welcoming atmosphere for traders and visitors alike. Lark Lane is one of my favourite places to trade – a gorgeous location, fantastic independent businesses and a lovely community spirit that makes every market feel special.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Dock and Aloe stall today, whether you purchased a soap, picked up a Father's Day shaving set, had a sniff of the new Lime Street bar or simply stopped for a chat. Every sale, share, recommendation and kind word means more than you know to a small local business.
A big thank you as well to all of my fellow traders. One of the best parts of market life is catching up with so many talented makers, artists and small business owners. The support, laughs and conversations throughout the day are always appreciated.
With today's market complete, Lark Lane is now officially heading off for its summer break and will return in September. It feels strange to think there won't be another one for a little while, but it's given me plenty of time to work on some new ideas, new products and hopefully a few surprises for when we're back.
Until then, thank you for supporting local, supporting makers and supporting small businesses like Dock and Aloe. I already can't wait to be back on Lark Lane in September. 💚

Did you know?
🏛️ The Bluecoat is the oldest building in Liverpool city centre, dating back to 1717. It was originally built as a charity school for poor and orphaned children and has been in almost continuous use for over 300 years. Today it's recognised as the UK's first arts centre and remains one of Liverpool's most creative and inspiring spaces.
🎨 It has survived wars, redevelopment, and even bomb damage during the Liverpool Blitz, yet still stands proudly at the heart of the city's cultural quarter.
🖼️ The Bluecoat has welcomed artists, makers, performers and creatives for more than a century, making it one of Liverpool's true hidden gems.
✨ And the best fact of all? Dock and Aloe are here until 4pm today!
If you're in the city centre, pop in and say hello, smell some Liverpool-inspired natural soaps, pick up a Father's Day shaving set, and meet some of the wonderful Scouse makers and artists who make this city so special. ❤️

Lime Street
Sunny skies. Day trips. Adventures ahead.
For generations, Liverpool Lime Street Station has been the starting point for countless journeys. Since opening in 1836, it has welcomed travellers, reunited families and sent generations of Liverpudlians off on new adventures.
Inspired by those summer escapes, Lime Street is handcrafted using 100% steam-distilled lime and spearmint essential oils for a scent that's bright, refreshing and full of energy. Organic brown sugar, organic poppy seeds and French clay make this one of my most exfoliating soaps, helping to smooth rough skin, buff away dryness and assist with the fading of old fake tan.
Handcrafted in Liverpool, each bar is made with a nourishing blend of skin-loving oils and butters including shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil and castor oil. The result is a rich, creamy lather that cleanses while leaving skin feeling refreshed and cared for.
Whether you're heading to the coast, exploring somewhere new, or simply dreaming of your next getaway, Lime Street captures the excitement of a ticket in your pocket and a sunny day stretching out ahead.
