There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to hit the reset button. 🍂

✨ SATURDAY SKIN TIP ✨

Your cleanser might be the reason your skin feels tight. 👀

That lovely “squeaky clean” feeling after cleansing?

It isn't necessarily a good thing.

If your skin feels tight, dry or uncomfortable immediately afterwards, your cleanser may be too harsh for your skin or you're cleansing too aggressively.

Your skin should feel:

✨ Clean
✨ Comfortable
✨ Soft
✨ Not stripped or tight

And you don't need to scrub your face like you're cleaning the kitchen sink! 😂

Use lukewarm water, gentle movements and give your cleanser enough time to actually do its job.

Clean skin doesn't have to mean stripped skin. 🧡

🧡 A LITTLE FRIDAY THROWBACK…

Sometimes I have to stop and think…

How did this little Harris Palace actually become all of this?! 😂

From starting out with a treatment bed in my front room nearly 3 years ago ....

to my first little salon room…

then moving into a bigger space…

and now having my own purpose built room inside Deeluxe Shyne.

And somewhere along the way, the treatments have evolved too.

What started with Dermaplaning & facials has grown into advanced plasma, Fusion8, Fibroblast, SkinBase, microdermabrasion, Hydrofacials,, Green Algae Peels, laser hair reduction… and so much more.

But one thing hasn't changed.

I still genuinely get excited about skin. 😂

I love learning something new, investing in better technology, adding another treatment and then getting to use it on real people and see what happens.

And I honestly don't think I'll ever stop learning.

You might know Fusion8 for skin tightening and rejuvenation…

But did you know it can also be used to refine the appearance of enlarged pores, improve skin texture AND stimulate collagen and elastin? 👀

Meet the Diamond Plasma Probe. 💎

This is one of the gentler modalities within my Fusion8 and is designed to work on pore refinement, skin texture and overall skin tone, while stimulating the skin's natural collagen and elastin response.

Why does skin become less firm as we get older?

✨ MONDAY MYTH BUSTER ✨

“If a treatment makes your skin peel, it must be working better.”

Nope. 😂

Peeling isn’t automatically a sign of a better treatment.

Some treatments are designed to create visible peeling or shedding. Others work much more subtly, without your skin visibly peeling at all.

And more peeling doesn’t necessarily mean better results.

It’s about what the treatment is designed to achieve, how your skin responds, and whether the treatment is appropriate for you.

This is one of the reasons I love having so many different treatment options at Harris Palace.

Sometimes your skin needs resurfacing.

Sometimes it needs hydration.

Sometimes it needs stimulation.

And sometimes… less is definitely more. 😉
