We don’t even think about applying unless we have our prep station set. This includes:

🌿 Re-usable shower cap or head wrap to look pretty whilst developing 💚
🌿 Gloves for application - Disposable biodegradable gloves and cassava shower caps are included with each purchase
🌿 An applicator brush
🌿 4-6 Sectioning Clips
🌿 Old dark towels
🌿 Old clothing and/or an apron
🌿 A water spray bottle
🌿 Cling film in case the paste is dripping, you can use it on top of our cassava shower cap if needed.

Did you know Amla was made from 100% gooseberries, an Indian gooseberry to be precise! The dried fruit is powdered and the mild acidity of the fruit makes Amla powder a natural way to dye release henna.

Amla doesn’t add a bold colour of its own. Instead, it quietly changes the tone. Want to shift from warm to cool. This is what you need. We show the colour capabilities of toning natural hair dyes with Amla in our online course (link in bio) but a simple takeaway would be that it shifts tones from warm to cool.

Amla has been used in Ayurvedic hair care for centuries because it’s packed with antioxidants, tannins and naturally occurring vitamin C. It’s traditionally valued for helping improve hair condition, supporting scalp health, reducing breakage and leaving hair feeling stronger and glossier over time.
