🦷Gum Lifts & Gummy Smiles

There are two versions of a Gummy Smile Makeover, the original and most popular version, and the second for more extreme cases that involve some bone contouring as well

Here is the process for a gum lift:

1️⃣Consultation - we need to find out why you have the excess gum on display, as this will tell us which treatment would work best for you. Sometimes it can be genetics, the way your teeth have developed or how active your top lip muscles are

2️⃣ Gum Lift Treatment: over 1-2 hours, your gums are raised with a laser - we also take measurements as to how far the gums should be lifted, for the best aesthetic and stable long term result. If bone contouring is required this is performed and would lengthen the procedure by 30-60 minutes

We usually set up whitening at this stage, which is a two week process

3️⃣Review: after 4 weeks in order to confirm the gums are healing normally

This case is using the original gum lift to balance the excess gum on one side to the other

It’s just one tooth, but it makes all the difference.

This case was about replacing a single front tooth and matching it perfectly in shade, shape, and light reflection.
The kind of work that’s invisible when done well.
Because when it comes to front teeth, almost perfect isn’t perfect enough.

Our shade matching takes approximately 1-2 trials to get right, which means it will take 1-2 coloit correction stages to achieve this result

Summit rotation has been incredible, chaotic, scary, eerie - all at the same time. I'm sorry for those who had to turn around, didn't make the cut or had medical complications. Strong emotions come with success and failure up here - and if we do not test ourselves fully, we will never know our true limits. Knowing when to turn around is sometimes braver than pushing on, futile. And lack of trying is worse than a bruised ego. 

The summit ridge is the Peak of Heaven - Sagamartha - it feels like walking on clouds, contrasted with fallen climbers peacefully watching over us, reminding me that a single error could be fatal.
