Red stinging sensitive skin? Not sure which moisturiser to use?
Colostrum gel is a gentle soothing and healing product which can promote growth factor production.

Growth factors thicken the skin and stimulate collagen production. They support the immune cells in the skin too.

The product from Environ also has Vitamin C and E plus Green Tea extract to provide anti inflammatory effects. Cimicifuga Racemosa root supports phytoestrogen production which helps with loose skin and is anti inflammatory. This is especially good in peri menopause and menopause.

Overall colostrum gel is great for treating thin skin, psoriasis, eczema, redness, sore acne, and menopausal skin. 💜

Skin of colour and struggling with sunscreen?

Very common issues with white cast, unable to rub it in well enough, and it not feeling right.

Dr V does an amazing sunscreen and especially if you’re prone to pigmentation. It has a lot of pigment suppressors which help to treat and prevent pigmentation.

Always purchase from her website. There are so many fake products around. 💜

Tried lots of under eye treatment but nothing is working that well?

Here is one way to assess your under eye to make sure you’re getting the right products and treatments.

Pinch the skin and lift the under eye. If the discolouration goes you have a thin skin/ vascular issue under the eye. The thin skin jeans you are seeing your blood vessels more easily.

If the discolouration doesn’t go, then you are likely to have a pigmentation issue.

Thin skin needs collagen building, so good vitamin A, sunscreen, caffeine if puffy and skin boosters can also help. Pigmentation needs a lot of pigment suppressors such as Vitamin A and C, arbutin, niacinamide, liquorice root. Sunscreen is a must to prevent further pigmentation. Skin boosters are not as effective and sometimes laser is better but always go to a specialist laser clinic.

How to ruin you skincare results in one easy step!

Sadly we are being exposed to IV rays even when indoors and driving.

Our devices are also giving off blue light as well.

So we do need to apply sunscreen even when indoors to protect our skin 💜

5 signs you may be over exfoliating.

Redness, tightness, dry and flaky, more breakouts are all signs you may be over exfoliating.

Take a step back and review how often you’re exfoliating and what you are exfoliating with.

Harsh scrubs are not needed and neither are lots of acids. There’s no point in using harsh actives in your cleansers either.

Can we get ingredients deeper into the skin without needles?

Yes! Sonophoresis and iontophoresis are two ways you can do this.

Sonophoresis is low level sound waves and you don’t feel much during treatment. Iontophoresis is applying an electrical current and therefore you feel a bit of tingling.

So there is minimal down time and redness. No bruising or swelling.

If your skin is very sensitive or reactive then this is the treatment for you 💜

Send this to someone who bruises like a peach!

Profhilo vs Viteran? For me it’s usually neither.

If you have an event coming up soon then yes I would use Profhilo because it has the highest concentration if hyaluronic acid and gives a great boost of hydration quickly. Plus you only need 2 sessions.

But if you want to help the whole skin ecosystem, then Sunekos is the best. It has 6 amino acids and this helps to stimulate collagen types 1, 3, 4, and 7. Most others in the market don’t stimulate other types of collagen apart from 1 and 3. It also helps stimulate elastin and fibronectin which again most otters don’t.

So long term, Sunekos helps prevent aging and improve the skin provided maintained is followed.

If your cleanser or moisturiser is stinging and it never used to, this could be a warning sign your skin barrier is starting to struggle.

Certainly if there is redness, flakiness and sudden breakouts. It’s time to simplify your routine or cut back on the actives you are using.

Is Korean skincare better than other types of skincare?

Not necessarily. But it’s all about finding the right product for your skin problem and skin type.

For example, skin of colour requires more oufnent suppression due to a higher incidence of post inflammatory pigmentation. So your sun screen should ideally be mineral with pigment suppression ingredients and a tint to block visible light. Skin of colour also jacks ceramides, so they will be more important.

Overall Korean skincare is great, gentle and effective. But not necessarily any better than Western skincare.
