Those fine, crepey lines that appear underneath the eyes when you smile aren’t always something anti wrinkle injections can address.

They can be related to skin quality, collagen loss and the delicate nature of under eye skin, which means treating the skin itself may be more appropriate.

The right approach depends on what’s actually causing the lines, not simply where they appear.

The Ordinary’s Volufiline has been getting a lot of attention online, with people calling it ā€œfiller in a bottleā€ā€¦

But can a topical skincare product really replicate what injectable filler does?

Not quite.

There’s a big difference between temporarily improving the appearance of plumpness and physically restoring volume beneath the skin.

That doesn’t necessarily make it a bad product, but expectations matter.

Would you try it? šŸ‘€

If I had to rank the steps in a skincare routine from most to least important, where would everything end up? šŸ‘€

Cleanser, SPF, moisturiser, retinoids, serums, exfoliants and more…

Some are essentials. Others might not be as necessary as you think.

What would you put at number one? šŸ‘‡

When it comes to acne treatments, using more doesn’t always mean faster results.

Some active ingredients can be irritating when overused, potentially leading to dryness, sensitivity, and a damaged skin barrier.

The right frequency depends on the product, its strength, and your individual skin.

Sometimes less really is more. šŸ‘€

It’s back… šŸ‘€

Two treatments. One choice.

If you could only have one, which are you picking?

No wrong answers… but I’m definitely judging your choices. šŸ˜‚šŸ‘‡

The latest skincare trend? Using a toothbrush on your face… 😳

Just because it’s viral doesn’t mean it’s good for your skin.

Before you try the next viral hack, ask yourself: is it backed by science… or just getting views? šŸ‘€

When I assess a face, my aim is to identify subtle changes that may be influenced by genetics or the natural ageing process. My approach is to address these changes gradually, using a structured treatment plan that achieves natural-looking results over time.

With Katie, I noticed the early signs of temple volume loss, which can contribute to a slightly heavier appearance of the brow. My treatment plan would be to address this with anti-wrinkle injections, Sculptra, and carefully placed dermal filler in the temple area to restore support.

I also identified volume loss in the chin, which is a common feature of facial ageing. This can be improved with strategically placed dermal filler to restore balance and structure.

Finally, it’s important not to overlook skin quality. Treatments such as Sculptra, Restylane Skinboosters, Profhilo, and polynucleotides can all be tailored over time to improve skin health and work alongside injectable treatments, creating natural, long-lasting, and synergistic results.
