And just like that, the appetite is back 🍗

Coco came in with diarrhoea (loose tummy) and no interest in food at all, which is worrying in a little dog his size. A bit of care and a feeding tube later, and look who’s rediscovered chicken.

Those cute eyes, that regal blue collar, the tiny dignified sit. He’s decided he’s feeling much better, thank you very much.

If your dog stops eating and has an upset tummy alongside, it’s worth having them checked sooner rather than later.

Keep those bites coming, Coco. 💚

Turns out the culprit was hiding inside all along 🩶

Zelda had an ex lap (exploratory laparotomy) with Vas and the team, who found a giant hairball that had been stuck for three days. It’s out now, and this magnificent floof is resting up.

Look at that face. Unimpressed, a little indignant, and every inch a Maine C**n who feels this was all a great inconvenience.

Long coats mean lots of grooming, and lots of grooming means swallowed fur. Regular brushing at home helps hairballs pass before they become a proper problem. If your cat is retching repeatedly or off their food, best to have them seen.

Rest up, Zelda. You’ve earned it. 💚

That’s the face of a good boy who’s had a rough couple of days 🩷

Beau came in off his food and rather worse for wear at the back end. A bit of care, a cannula, and he’s on the mend.

Look at him though. Golden curls, patient little sit, waiting ever so politely to go home.

All sorted now, Beau. Off you pop. 💚

He’ll take it from here 🧡

Foxtrot arrived with a blocked bladder, which in male cats is a proper emergency. He’s now unblocked, comfortable, and apparently ready to get stuck into the admin.

Swipe to see him reviewing today’s consult list. Cannula in, paw on the keyboard, no notes for the team.

If your cat is straining in the tray, going in and out repeatedly, or producing nothing at all, your cat might be dealing with a blocked bladder.

Log off, Foxtrot. We’ve got it from here. 💚

Eric and the tootsie trouble 🌾

This wonderfully whiskery chap came in with a grass seed stuck between his toes. These sneaky little things love to burrow into paws, especially on scruffy-coated dogs with plenty of fur to hide in.

One careful extraction later and Eric is feeling much better, even if he’s not thrilled about the cone situation.

Top tip: after walks through long grass, check between those toes! Your dog’s tootsies will thank you. 💚

Benjamin has forgiven us (mostly) 🩶

This handsome chap arrived feeling rotten with a fever, low energy, and no interest in food. Understandably, he was a little spicy about the whole situation.

But look at him now! Fever sorted, appetite back, and in a much better mood. He even let us take this glamour shot. Those chonky cheeks deserve their own photoshoot.

All fixed up and back to his charming self. 💚

Peggy and the giant hairball 🧶

This fluffy Ragdoll came in for something a little unusual: a hairball so big it needed surgery to remove.

With a coat this glorious, it’s no wonder some of it ended up where it shouldn’t. Peggy’s recovering beautifully and back to looking like the supermodel she is

Regular grooming helps keep those hairballs at bay, especially for our long-haired friends! 💚

Betty’s going home today! 🎉

This scruffy sweetheart came in with HGE that turned out to be cholangiohepatitis (inflammation of the liver and bile ducts). A bit of a journey, but Betty pulled through like the champion she is.

Fun fact about Betty: she loves to dig. Which means her IV bandages were always in a state of glorious chaos. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Off you go, gorgeous girl. Back to your digging. We’ll miss that little face (and feeding tube moustache). 💚

Oliver would like us to stop talking about it 🧡

This gorgeous golden boy came in with a bit of a... situation. Let’s just say things weren’t quite right at the back end.

He’s getting all the care he needs and would very much appreciate it if we moved on from the details. Look at that face. That’s the face of a dignified gentleman who would like to forget this ever happened.

We’ve got you, Oliver. Your secret is safe with us. Sort of. 💚
