Case Review time redesigning 35yr old veneers for an amazing patient who had thought long and hard about doing this, and even still wasn't 100% sure she should, as usual, now we are done she thinks she could have done it sooner...
Surprisingly 46% of you in my stories wanted me to post a case review next, as much as I love breaking down the cases, I was actually going to stop doing them as the algorithm has punished me, so if you asked for it, it means you watch them, so watch it all the way through, like it, share it, save it, and comment on it? Otherwise I will have to switch content to 3s reels of me drinking a coffee. Your choice.

Replacement bridges and some veneers beside to fill out the smile, we took inspiration from old photos of the smile with squarer teeth to help us regain the natural character before the original dentistry was done.
Reminder - we sometimes hear, “you can’t help me because you only do thin veneers” - opposite is true, our special interest lies in anything made in a ceramics lab, so if you’re with existing crowns, bridges, implants - that is all our bag using
We combined the treatment with some lip relaxing treatment with Dr Lydia Sharples BespokeSmile Marlow, to hide tissue and bone loss that occurs when one has lost teeth some time ago which helps to blend the result to the face.

Day in the life away from the clinics, the post 46% of you asked for in stories yesterday (another 46% asked for a case review - see below for my thoughts on that). These days aren't always this relaxing, this was a one off, taken through the lens of my meta glasses. I have said this before, a job like mine is non stop, it is all consuming and becomes your life, and you have no time, for that you need understanding people around you who can handle it, and you sacrifice things others aren't willing to sacrifice, you then savour the little moments where you can focus in an environment that helps you escape, like this day. If you want, I can take you no limits, behind the scenes to really experience what it is like.
So the other 46% who asked for a case review, is interesting to me because when I post them, nearly none of you like, comment, share, or engage with them 🙄 - maybe the next one will be different? ;)

Reversing time using
What I enjoyed most about this one was maintaining the masculinity, whilst bringing facial balance and softness to the smile. “Male teeth” don’t need to be square and flat to be “masculine”
We don’t pick how smiles look based on generalisations, we design for each face using the method, then create it by hand, then tweak it, then copy it into final ®️ which means every smile is unique, tailored for each person.
In this case a lovely guy, who trusted the process entirely and as always when there’s that, the outcome is always better.

Dr Rahul was asked to join after completing the 1-1 residency program with me and as his patients in our Marylebone clinic will tell you, we could not have asked for a more professional, kind, and customer focussed dentist to carry forward The Bespoke Smile Method. Get to know him a bit more here - he is available 3 days a week in London now to provide more availability, because it did not take long for him to build a wait list - not surprised at all.

Dr Rahul Kalia completed first which we planned together to ensure the plan allowed us to use ®️ afterwards - super important, Invisalign doesn’t have just one outcome, so unless you’re thinking about the end goal the Invisalign might not achieve what you want - holistic planning is essential
Something I love when we use the thinnest material, understand how to design it, and have a suitable case is the thin necks so no bulkiness at the gum line - often a reason why veneers could look “fake”
People often worry about treating uppers only, if we are clever about translucency texture and tone, it’s a non factor
Veneers are not just cosmetic - you can see a bite improvement here too - function & aesthetics
